Good luck people! Can't believe it's is actually happening

From @Michael Scarn

In the spirit of tradition I'm gonna repost the poem my wife wrote prior to my match:

Match Eve poem by Mrs. Scarn

tWas the night before match day and all through the house
Not an applicant was sleeping, not even their spouse.
All the rank lists were numbered, submitted with care,
in the hopes that school "number one" soon would be theirs.

Hopefuls everywhere nestled snug in their beds,
while visions of third molars danced in their heads.
And me in my scrubs, i turned off the light,
and settled myself in for the world's longest night.

When from my iPhone there came such a clatter,
i sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the charger I ran in a dash; the screen came alive in a brilliant white flash.

The box on the screen blinked to notify me
It had just received an email that I needed to see.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear
but a subject line saying omfs match finally here!

In a rush of adrenaline, my patience was gone.
I'm done with this waiting, let the match bring it on!
As true as sdn my confidence came, and I whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

Now parkland! Now, Vanderbilt! Now, San Antonio or Unc!
On, Baylor! On, Oregon! On, Florida or Kentucky!
To my life's next six years! Now don't make me wait!
Now bring it on! Tell me! Show me my fate!

As if in slow motion, the email opened up.
My eyes scanned the page, my fingers crossed for luck.
In confusion I searched, come on, what's the catch?
And then, in awful clarity, the words, "you did not match".

My body went limp, eyes rolled back in my head.
My life flashed before my eyes. I fell back on the bed.
My throat was closing in! My lungs found no air!
My hands clawed my throat, and ripped out my hair!

This just couldn't be right! Was my mind playing tricks?
Could I really go on? Add another year to six?!
What had I done wrong? What qualities did I lack?
I must run far away and never come back!

"No, no!" moaned my voice in an unearthly tone.
I was ruined, defeated... The match had won!
I writhed in my misery, sweat soaking my scrubs.
I pled for some assistance, some help from above!

I opened my eyes to a glimmer of light, the clock on my nightstand showing midnight.
I bolted up straight, and off the bed I fell.
Somehow I had slept-and dreamed myself into hell!

I gasped for a breath, I reached for my phone.
No new messages! The email from hades was gone!
I laugh in hysterics, I feel I could dance! My fate yet undecided! I have another chance!

The night is still young. Several hours remain,
enough for at least 10 more nightmares of the same.
My pulse starts to slow, my head is finally clear.
There's still 6 dreaded hours until match day is here!

Can anybody please post the unmatched programs? For the post-match opportunities.. thank you!

Hoped to be able to post here to help others out in the future. I really loved most of the places I interviewed at, especially those places that I externed at, so was tasked with tough decisions.

To future applicants: Work hard so you can enjoy this process. You’ll meet amazing people on the trail and really nice residents who will welcome you on interview days and treat you well. I talked to quite a few co-applicants throughout the process and am lucky to match with 2 coresidents who are phenomenal people. PM me with any questions. Go Blue.

What I learned: cast a wide net. I wasn’t very confident in my application and CBSE score (not surprised when I see some of the other SDN posters) so I applied to many programs, probably a bit too many. I feel it’s a numbers game and a crapshoot where you will get interviews, so ask yourself “would I rather match at this program or not match at all” when applying. This was a very expensive and draining process so I’m very grateful that I won’t have to go through it again. Best of luck to all those applying in the future, pm me for questions.

A discerning prospective applicant should realize that a lot of what can be read online is unsubstantiated rumor, but sometimes those rumors persist, including the one that BU is a malignant program. As someone with first-hand experience who's clearly ecstatic to have matched there, what would you tell people on SDN to dispel those rumors?

Could one of the moderators explain why the spreadsheet was removed?

The spreadsheet contained identifying information that compromised the anonymity of some SDN members.
The anonymity of each member is up to the member and not a moderator. Additionally, the purpose of the spreadsheet was precisely to be able to post where you matched without it being associated with your SDN profile if you chose to do so. Please restore accordingly.

Are members allowed to post a link? Instead of embedding it within a post? You could post a link to a spreadsheet. It would not be associated with the website

This is not true. It's not hard to look at what users post here in this thread and match their home school/residency program with the info on the spreadsheet and thus pair username with real name.

As it stands, the spreadsheet was a violation of our ToS and will remain down. This has already been discussed by numerous moderators and administrators.

I think those people posted that specific identifying information knowing full well that they would be identified.
Otherwise, they'd post something purposefully vague such as "Matched to a 6-year NE program."

Protecting the anonymity of who is and isn't an OMFS resident is of utmost importance to residency programs, which is exactly why residents' names, photographs, or contact information is never posted anywhere and is kept secret at all times.

Each program will post their resident profiles anyway I dont know what the issue is here
Neither do I. if anyone is interested they can check individual program websites for resident profiles.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times, and now by @artist2022 the spreadsheet stays down. This is coming directly from SDN’s Executive Director. Now let’s consider this topic closed and move on.

While I think the spreadsheet is good and dont mind it at all. I can also say first hand that my name was posted by someone else and then showed up on here. A lot of people putting their information on the spreadsheet in a private fb group have no idea it was being shared here publicly.

I applied this cycle but unfortunately didn’t match. I made a 64 on my CBSE. And now I’m planning on retaking the test in August. Does anyone have a Uworld log in with a subscription that I can have or buy with a lower price? Anything would be appreciated Bc I wasted 10k this past cycle for application, interviews and etc.
