It is a rare and beautiful moment, that first look at your e-mail notification confirming your dream of becoming a physician. After the first two cycles, it is common to doubt, at least to some degree, if the white coat dream will be realized.

Good job to ALL fellow 3rd-time applicants for having the fortitude and persistence to make three attempts... and to those who have finally been accepted... Life's Good.

A Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
