How long after submitting the seat deposit did you guys get the link for the Facebook page?
 
They called me about an hour ago to offer me a seat (IS #2). I can’t believe it!!!! 4th time applicant. I will be accepting. I can’t wait to meet all of you!!!! Is there a page for the c/o 2029 on Facebook or anywhere?


I hope others on the waitlist hear good news soon as well ♥️

I also got the call today (IS #9)!!!! I’m shocked it moved this quickly!
 
I’m a bit confused. I received my email to accepted or decline my offer. The email says if we accept we have to pay a tuition deposit and acceptance fee. The only thing that I saw was an acceptance fee payment, no payment came up for the tuition one. Does that come later? Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything lol

I only paid a 325 acceptance deposit so im not sure about a tuition deposit

Are you OOS? I’m IS and my acceptance deposit was only $25, and I thought it was going to be way more so I feel like more money has to be due somewhere 😂😂😂
 
Hi everyone!! I moved off the waitlist at my IS school which was a huge shock to me! I’ll be withdrawing from OSU sadly but happy for the other waitlisters out there! Unfortunately I did sign a lease for a furnished apartment at the Griff, so if anyone would like to sublet from me please let me know! (Rent is $870 w/ everything included)

A lot of people said Grandview heights is nice and pretty close to the vet school!! lol you can take over my lease if you want. Upper Arlington was another spot students recommended and I think Italian village was where some students lived as well.
 
I've started looking in the Arlington or Grandview area. Is anyone finding good 1br complexes in the $800-900 range? I may sign a lease with the Edge at Arlington
 
hopefully this is an okay question to ask but does OSU drug test incoming students? I live in a state where recreational marijuana is legal and I just want to make sure I detox in time if drug testing is required for first years. Thanksssss

it’s also legal in ohio but idk if they drug test

No they do no drug test incoming students but you will need to pass a background check

Hi all, congratulations again on joining THEE Ohio State University CVM!!! I’m so excited to meet you all!

This is likely a longshot & I’m not even sure if it’s allowed, but I’m looking for a roommate for the 25-26 school year!

Here’s some info:
My name is Emily, and I am a current 4th year vet student looking for a roommate to sign onto my lease with me in Upper Arlington for the 2025-2026 school year, starting either July 1st or August 1st. I have a 2BR 1.5BA townhouse in the quiet & pet-friendly Arlington Pointe Apartments complex. The bedroom available is the larger of the two, and easily fits a queen bed. Central air & AC, finished basement & newly renovated ground-floor powder room, lovely back patio, in-unit free W/D, gas stove, small 3rd bedroom as a dedicated office/study space, great amenities in the complex (pool and fitness room!) and access to a beautiful walking trail right along the Scioto River. Only an easy 10 minute drive to the vet & med school campuses, 15 minutes to main campus. Rent is a steal at $750 per month plus utilities!

A little about me: I am a non-traditional student in my mid 30s from New Jersey, vet school was a later-in-life career change for me! Non-smoker, not a heavy drinker or partier, clean but not a neat-freak (I do prefer to keep up with common spaces at least once weekly), and generally pretty chill as a roommate. I am in clinics right now, so I’m unfortunately going to be fairly busy this year, but I’m generally happy to hang out with a roommate as we’re available! I have a 5-year-old 50-lb female spayed dog named River and a 2-year-old male neutered tuxedo cat named Fenrys, both are very sweet & sociable, and wonderful with other animals. Feel free to bring any and all animals you may have, but we are limited to 2 large dogs total in the apartment! I am looking for someone who may be willing to occasionally do some very light care for them if I get stuck at work, but definitely not a necessity if you’d prefer to not be responsible for her.
