A question for those who have been checking application statuses... could you post the link to the sign in page for me b/c for some reason (probably fault of my own), I have such a hard time locating it. Thanks!

Finally got my professional admissions letter. Still don't know what it says because I won't see it until I go home!😉
 
Big storm kept my mail from coming today. 🙁 Hopefully tomorrow.

Just curious, I believe you said you live in Mass. How much snow did you get. Where I live in OH, we got about 8-12in.
 
Nothing too crazy, 4 or 5 inches followed by an afternoon of freezing rain.

The thing that sucks here was that we first got 5-6in of snow, 1/16-1/8 inch freezing rain that turned to solid ice, then another 4-6in of snow. I love snow, but the ice was a little ridiculus.

Haha, yep the same thing in Cincy. It was fun though, my husky LOVED it!

im sure, but taking me a half an hour to remove all the snow/ice from my car wasn't fun.
 
Yeah, that part wasn't so fun...as well as having to drive in it!

Isn't the Buckeye some sort of a tree? What is the deal with that?


Got my slightly thicker professional school admissions letter today(in MA). I think I am going to give them a call on Monday to find out if they have/haven't received my fall transcripts yet.
 
did you get a provisonal letter also?
 
My letter listed Provisions as

"Official transcript w/degree: Umass Amherst" which is where I was enrolled as a second bachelors to finish up my pre-reqs.

So I need to call them about that. I have a degree from my first undergrad institute and was not in in line to receive a degree from Umass any time soon.

Then for Conditions, it simply listed off the 3 remaining pre-req classes I was enrolled in during the Fall semester.

So is Skyline chili (a Cincinnnati chili chain but I remember seeing at least one in C-bus as well)!!

I'm sure there's others but I know of one in Stoneridge (near the Easton shopping center).

Also, all new Ohioans MUST go to the Cedar Point amusement park within the first year - it should be a requirement for residency. 🙂

I worked there in the summers during my first bachelors degree. I concur. 🙂

Also with the chocolate/peanut butter buckeyes being amazing.

yeah..i really want to call again, but I am afraid that because this would be the third time, they might just flat out reject me due to my insistence. I hope to hear from them soon! This waiting game is horrible.
 
No mail today, and snowstorm tomorrow. 🙁 My page still says Academic Review. So much for them letting us know by the end of January!
 
I got my letter today from the vet school (I live in Columbus). I'm number 8 on the waitlist...does anyone know how many people they usually accept off their waitlists?

Got tired of waiting so I called.

I'm fortunate enough to have had my GRE scores lapse (5 years) so I get to take that again, too!

Co-sign.

However, when I called (2/3/09), they said that most of the notifications had been sent. Just call the office of student affairs and give them your name and VMCAS ID. They'll tell you on the phone.
 
No letter and no answer at the office!

Did anybody else get letters today? (yes I realize I'm being obsessive - I'm procrastinating studying) 😛
 
I got my letter in the mail today, as I said above I had already gotten my status though.

didn't get a letter today...I am gonna call tomorrow I think. AT this point, I feel that it doesn't look good, and that the best there is to hope for is a waitlist....
 
I'm trying to stay positive and hope I'm high (low?) on the waitlist!! I'm crossing my fingers for you too Smashley!

Did you find out by mail today or did you call? Also, where are you from? I am just trying to gauge when the mail will get to me. lol I think the waitlist is pretty long as I think I remember someone else saying they were number 80.
 
I don't know about OOS, but IS there were only 9 people on the waitlist...Amber has been very helpful answering all my questions so she would be a good person to ask.
 
My friend received her letter yesterday. She lives in Columbus and she is number # on the wait list. I am trying to use my resources to find out more about the wait listing and such. I will let you guys know if I find anything out.

So ends my posts on this thread as I have been flat out rejected from OSU. Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting (I called today and found out)

From what I found out, their is just one wait list. So, it is not a separate in state or out of state list. Also in past years they usually go down to at least 40 on the wait list. But I know this year is a little different. Last year their were about 1000 or so applicants but this year they had ~700.

If you're on the wait list, don't count yourself out yet!

I found out I'm on the waitlist, but I'm #60. So that basically counts me out too.
 
icypatch how did you find out there was just one waitlist? i called last week and found out im on the waitlist and i thought she said there were different lists for OOS and IS, i could have heard her wrong though.
 
AAAHHHH!!! I just can't bring myself to call, I'd rather read bad news than hear it over the phone. 🙁

Don't count yourself out just yet, with their large number of OOS students (...and large price tag) I'd imagine that they could definitely get down to #60.
 
Just got my letter - alternate! I'll take it! Does anyone have a link or more detailed info about how deep they went into last year's OOS alternate list or approximate timeframe for hearing? I have been trying to browse old posts in the forum...
