I knew few girls in college who were from California. Some were quiet and some were kinda loud  (the partying type) I think she was from OC in SoCal.

You forgot to mention that us, Californians, are irresistably hot and undeniably charming. 🙄 Even at our old age

you know a lot of girls dont you?

Well, yeah. I talk to girls all the time  If I'm using FB chat, I'm talking to a girl about 95~99% of the time.

I heard from one of my friends that when he went to San Diego, he saw a lot of hot girls there.

I knew one girl in high school who was just adorable and she said that her family was from California. She's really pretty now, but she's already engaged.

A friend of mine posted this commercial on FB saying:

" I didn't think it could get any scarier than IT but "

Jesus Christ - that cherry one is TDF, absolutely utterly awesome ! 👍 👍 👍

You must be on purse forum too ?

I'm all about the shoes - here's the picture I took for something else long ago of my most favorite shoes - Emporio Armani, Giuseppe Zanotti and BCBG Max Azria:

shoes002.jpg

LOVE your shoes Chebs!!! 😍 I LOVE shoes too...but I can't walk in really high/thin heels. 🙁 (I know every other woman can..but NOT ME! 🙄) So my shoe collection isn't that great. I go more for comfortable shoes....

I try to stay off the internet. Before SDN and Facebook I was NEVER online...so I am not part of the purse forum...didn't know one exists! LOL...I am trying to stay off SDN too...but it's just so addictive! hahaha...I also haven't gotten any new SPEEDYS in a while since pharmacy school tuition is expensive...hence why I don't have any of the recent speedys! LOL...

I really want the GOLD and SILVER Speedys but they were reserved for VIPs only. 🙄

Gah, purses. C'mon, I chose something that everyone has (a refigerator) to take a picture of.

Where's your 'fridge, SHC!?

I actually don't live on my own right now...I am living with relatives and their fridge is full of food that I don't usually eat...LOL...does that count? If I had my own apartment, I would have taken a picture of my own fridge.

I have a Lexus ES 300 its a V6 too. A lot of Americans are big fans of the 1969 Camaro...I guess that would be a hot car to own too! lol...

I am usually NOT a fan of sports cars...I prefer Sedans and 4-door cars...but even I have to admit that this car is HOT AS HELL. LOL...just in case you didn't see my previous post here it is again! Gotta love looking at this thing! 😉

mercedes_slr_mclaren_chrome_image002.jpg

What type of benz is that??? It's so shiny 😍 Someone at my school used to have an SLR... I don't think it was a student's because it was always parked in a handicap spot right by the UC.

And thus:

1) The key point here... see the crisper in the bottom left? It's half full of packets of Pizza Hut crushed pepper and parmesan. I mean, really half full. Yikes.
fridge1.jpg

2) Drinking Bio SALUD! keeps me healthy.
fridge2.jpg

3) As a special bonus, I even included a shot of my freezer. Since that's where most of my meals come from anyway...
fridge3.jpg

LOL @ the Noble Pils... I always see that commercial on tv 😀

I LOVEEEEEE the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce... I have the same thing... it came with a gift set bottle of Jack and a BBQ brush for the sauce.

My fridge/freezer is also packed with Coffee = )

I have to load the pics from the phone though... yesterday was a VERY long day. I woke up at 4:30 am... drove 300 miles round trip... wrote a paper, and didn't go to sleep until 1:30 am. 🙁

I like mixing drinks for gatherings and stuff... call it a love of chemistry?

A friend of mine is taking classes to be a bartender, and it's striking how similar mixing drinks is to pharmacy. Oddly enough, I don't drink very much at all. I derive the most pleasure from mixing them, particularly trick shooters like the purple nipple and blue mustang, flaming dr. pepper, etc.

LOL 🙂

I have a great selection. Not visible, in cupboards, include a bottle of Glenlevit that has yet to be opened. If you squint, you can see a 2.5oz bottle of Belvedere vodka that my mom got my wife and I for our 3rd anniversary (among other things).

I took the 2 week ABC bartending course in Miami! I still have my book and know all the drinks even though I don't work in a bar anymore. I don't drink much but I had a wet bar just like that in my apartment. Everyone always wanted to come over and try different drinks, but when I moved I had to get rid of most of the bottles. I wish I had a picture. I agree it is really fun and scientific! We had a magnum Gray Goose, bottle of Moet Rose, a bunch of Midori, Belvedere, sour apple pucker, rums, Patron (hate it though), Crown Royal, etc. The Crown Royal was for Washington Apples... yum.

I find it very sad that a very very very smart person that I went to high school with (top 1% of our high school) that goes to Duke is now thinking of going to law school b/c he have much motivation for school any more......... I'd hate to be in his position. He once was so eager to go to med school and now the kid only cares about basketball.... He's a frickin genius too but doesn't apply himself enough 🙁

Duke is a great good, if he does well he should be able to secure a spot at a good law school when he applies.

Maybe he realized medicine wasn't for him. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do when I started college, but I'm so glad I switched to pharmacy!

One of my guy friends at UM started out pre-pharm and switch to law and hasn't looked back since. He truly hated his chemistry major and he is much happier now. I think he wants to apply to Emory or something? Not sure though. You just have to make sure you go to a good law school.😕

Okay I finally got the photos... there's a few so I apologize in advance.

BTW SHC... I love the green purse! Green is my favorite color, especially that shade you have. <3 The gold and silver purses are nice for going out too... I'm sure they're rare though.

Since we're sharing cars... mine is white like yours Nicole. It's way to hot in Arizona and Florida LOL

Some of the coffee... because I'm addicted and have to grind my own beans. Unless it's Cuban coffee... then it goes in the espresso maker.

Well he actually is doing pretty bad. He wouldn't tell me his GPA... and when I asked if it was below 3.6 he said yes. It's his 2nd yr at Duke so he's taken a bunch of credits.... He does want to go to medical school but I think he at first thought it'd be much easier to get in then it actually is. It's not just about the school you go to (as I'm guessing some assume?)...

Well just got back from my Micro class and I officially hate everyone in my class. My lab partner is really dumb... like literally no common sense. And everyone in my class is like 2x my age so there is literally no one I can relate to. They all have kids and stuff. On top of that, I got their like 20 minutes early (with one other person) and the rest of the class just strolled in past 9 (class starts @ 9) and some even showed up at 9:30 😱.
I think that's so disrespectful to just show up whenever..... 👎 So we covered some reading that was supposed to be done for hw and this chick literally took us off topic for a good 10 minutes talking about green olives? (I guess she tied this back to Pasteur/ pasteurization....) I have no idea why the teacher even let her go on..... 😕 So then we do a lab experiment w/ staining live cultured Staphylococcus epidermidis and Bacillus megaterium and the same girl who talked about olives has the great idea to "clean" her lab station before hand..... (teacher told us we didn't need to) and she frickin dumps bleach EVERYWHERE. And it actually gets on her lab partner and MY lab book.... god I wanted to wring her neck. I can't believe some people. And everyone in my class is so rude to the point NO one helps each other and when someone messes up everyone stops and stares (ya it happened to me and my partner today because she put too much agar on the slide........) the girls behind us even had to add their two bit comments on how "this class is so easy and she can't believe how "people" can be having difficulty"... SHE'LL MAKE A GREAT NURSE ALRIGHT with that attitude. And this ladies and gentlemen is why I hate nursing majors so much. They're all so rude.

That really sucks - sounds nothing like how my micro lab was. Can I ask though why you are taking micro for nursing students ?

At my former Uni they had two different levels of micro classes - micro for nursing and nutrition majors and micro for biology and chemistry majors. The micro for nursing was 200 level class, while micro for science majors was a 400 level class. Needless to say - there were very few unprepapred and unmotivated people in that 400 level class.

I don't think it's all about the school... I was just saying that Duke is a great school and if he does well there he shouldn't have a problem getting into law. Like I said... how someone performs once they're in undergrad is up to them. If you're well rounded and have decent 3.0+ grades then all hope is not lost for certain careers. Grad/Professional schools don't usually care if you can make a 4.0 if you don't show any other "soft" skills or talents.

I'm taking microbiology at a CC right now and most of my classmates are older too. We have 4 pregnant woman, a lot of military men and woman, and some EMTs as well. Most of them are nice, but I think I am the only female who is not a nursing major.

It's BIO 205 (It's the only Microbiology class offered at my school) and since it's required for the nursing program, all the nursing students take it 🙁 My teacher said it's more of a clinical/mixed major microbiology class. He's a very good teacher, it's just the kids in my class who are evil demons. I wish the people were more helpful and motivated in my class, it's such a downer.

My teacher said if you're "pregnant, planning on getting pregnant, or immunodeficient or compromised" it'd be in your best interest to probably not take this class. How are the pregnant women holding up in your class?

May I ask what book you use for your class?
We use

and a lab manual named Symbiosis (The Pearson Custom Library for the Biological Sciences) blue/black cover... but I couldn't find a pic of it online anywhere.

It is a SLR...the car is worth over 550K! It's pretty much a house right there! LOL...

its funny you mention the handicap spot...one of my classmates drive a Mercedes Benz SL and she ALWAYS park in the handicap spot even though she isn't handicapped! LOL...I wonder what that is suppose to mean or imply! I am sure the SLR driver at your school isn't handicapped either.

The denim came in the green, blue and pink....The pink was sold before I could save up enough money for it. 🙁 I WISH I had the silver and gold speedys but they are impossible to get unless you want to pay 4K on ebay. 🙄

Oh here is my car...

Yeah it's the only Micro offered at the CC I'm taking it at too. The only people who really go into the sciences at this school are nursing majors and marine propulsion. A lot of marine biology too, but none are in microbiology for some reason. At my university we only had one Micro as well... it was 300 level, but I'm not sure where the nursing majors took it. I was in Arts and Sciences so ?

This is our book we're using but I didn't buy it because it's a bazillion dollars and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to pass based off our class notes. The class is really easy and it's somewhat of a mixed review of general biology, some basic chemistry, cellular and molecular bio, genetics, and evolution. Luckily we don't have a lab manual. We swabbed our shoes, teeth, water fountain, and lab bench last class, spread it on the agar with the innoculating loops, and incubated the streak plates for next week.

The pregnant woman aren't supposed to participate in the labs involving microorganisms, so they're getting additional work to make up for it I guess. The professor said he couldn't legally kick them out of the class, but he refuses to put them in danger so he has them do other work.

I thought it was an SLR but I wasn't sure because I've never seen one so shiny like that! The one I saw was just plain silver. I actually have a handicapped sign in my own car, but it belongs to my dad. He keeps an extra one in my car so whenever I visit him he doesn't have to carry the sign around from car to car if we take mine instead of his. I don't use it though because I feel guilty. You know what's really weird? Those handicapped spots reserved for pregnant woman... since when did pregnancy equal disability? Last time I checked exercise was beneficially for pregnant woman. 😕 Well, my dad is only handicapped because he has really messed up knees, but he refuses to get surgery because my uncle had the same problem and the surgery made it worse for some reason. It's some issue they were born with and I think playing sports made it worse.

I've never met a marine biology major - or someone who wanted to be a marine biologist in AZ. I guess probably since there's no ocean let alone large bodies of water that's why 😛!

My micro book cost a whopping $134.25 (used of course) but it's a junky used all highlighted on (PINK highlighter too .... which is so annoying). Sadly, my econ book cost more than my micro book....... 👎 $200 for an econ book is outlandish if you ask me. My books cost MORE than my tuition this semester and I'm maxed out @ twenty credits if that says anything about how expensive my books were!

My teacher doesn't provide notes. BOO! I like teachers who put up their powerpoints and stuff for review. He's more of a "hands on" I want you to write them down, review them, rote memorization type of guy. I guess that's okay though. Is your class based majorly on labs? Mine is out of 650 points. 550 of them are test/quiz points :/ Can you say what. the. hell? Labs are cushion points I guess :/

That sounds like a cool lab experiment. I bet people can't wait to see all the germs on their teeth and shoes.... ew. Some people better have brushed their teeth pre-lab!

LOL Yeah I suppose in south Florida marine biology is way more popular. UM has an entire campus devoted to the Rosentiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. I kind of wanted to be a meteorologist like Jim Cantore and Max Mayfield of the Weather Channel because they chase hurricanes and stuff... then I realized that only 1 in a million people probably ever get on TV and I probably wouldn't like being on TV even if I did get on!

I hate buying books. You should look for the international editions on ebay... they're paperback and they don't have colored pictures in them, but they're only like 60-70 dollars for an entire science book. My A&P and Organic Chemistry book were the international editions and they were exactly the same as the required texts, but cheaper. I also download the e-textbook whenever that is available. My Physics book in on my computer and so is my Contemporary Management and Contemporary Marketing book. I don't even have the physical books... this is only useful if you don't mind taking your computer everywhere though.

My professor doesn't give out notes either... we have to go to class and write down what he lectures on, but I've gone to all three weeks so far so I have the notes. Our lab is based mainly on exam and participation too. I think it is weird because all my other labs we had lab manuals and had to write lab reports every week. This was like 80 percent of our grade, plus we had quizes every week and a final, but those only counted for maybe the other 20 percent. This other guy in my class is from UCF and he said the same thing. I guess it's more clinical because of the nursing majors.

I actually kind of sneezed in one of my streak plates while I was spreading the stuff on the agar so I guess I will have some nasty stuff growing on that one...

That would be kind of cool to be on TV. I've always wondered how much anchor (wo)men, sports casters and weather (wo)men make... I bet it's not much :/

I would buy them on my own if I had a job, but I really rely on my fin. aid to pay for my tuition/books/etc. I'm fully covered on that end, so why take money out of my pocket if it's already there I guess? It does suck getting ripped by the bookstore, but technically I'm not really paying for it, my grants and scholarships are 👍

I wonder why Microbiology is graded so differently then other sciences. Micro IS basically labs.... seems backwards really making tests worth soooo much. For my micro class, we have quizzes every Thursday and Tests every two/three weeks on a Tuesday. Kill me now hahaha I hate tests.

Just take someone else's hahaha. I'd be so embarrassed if I had something gross growing on my teeth or shoes/clothes.

I just took my first official A&P quiz...... I luckily got full points and extra credit!!!!! I'm going to need every point in this class. She's one of those write things tricky to confuse you teachers 🙁

I think the major broadcast meteorologists like the ones on the weather channel make a lot of money. I'd say at least 6 figures. I read an article about the best outdoor jobs and Jim Cantore was on the list. (I have such a huge crush on him even though he's 41. Him and that little blue jacket... hubba hubba.) It said regular entry level meteorologists make only about 20,000 but the big shots can make up to a million.

Don't you get a refund check for the extra financial aide that's left over after tuition is paid? That's how they did it when I was in undergrad... we got to pick it up the first day of classes and we could use it for whatever we wanted. I could've went to the bookstore, but I would always celebrate getting that check every semester... so instead I would order the cheaper books and use the money I saved to have a big blow out and go to PF Changs with my boyfriend and friends and have seared tuna and martinis. 😀

I don't know why my Micro is graded that way. I've never taken a science class at this particular community college before... only english comp. I know that it was graded based on lab reports at my other school, but it was a small class and since I didn't need it for my degree I couldn't fit it in the schedule.

I don't even need micro for any schools I applied to but I'm so bored so I'm taking it anyway. LOL

I'm going to tell everyone on Friday that I sneezed in the streak plate so they know why mine is different.

It said regular entry level meteorologists make only about 20,000 but the big shots can make up to a million.

ooh lala tink and jim sittin' in a tree. 😉
Yeah, however I get my check 3 weeks into the semester... I guess my school has to make sure you actually stay in the classes versus get your check and split. So they wait until add/drop period is over to disperse checks... mmmm PF Changs is yummy. Ahi seared tuna <33333I love their food! But it's sooo expensive. Even for two people you can easily rack up a hefty bill. What kind of dining does Florida have? Arizona doesn't really have many GOOD restaurants... besides a few holes in the wall that are in the middle of the ghetto like Lo Lo's Chicken and Waffles mmmmmmm.

Fried Chicken, Wafles, syrup, grits, and a jar of kool aid .. ahhh my mouth is watering.

I don't even need micro for any schools I applied to but I'm so bored so I'm taking it anyway. LOL
Wow if I were you I wouldn't have taken it!!!! That's just more added work. You should be relaxing!

That would be kind of cool to be on TV. I've always wondered how much anchor (wo)men, sports casters and weather (wo)men make... I bet it's not much :/

I think some do pretty well. I know where one in a fairly large city lives and I don't think you can get a house in that area for under 750k. So assuming the guy doesn't have family money, he does pretty well.

they're like at least 10-11 inches wide..... that picture is angled weird, but when they serve you, the chicken is on it's own plate b/c the waffles are soooo huge.

Maybe sausage and waffles, but fried chicken? At 6:30 AM? >.> Jeez, so much protein. I could see a bodybuilder eating that almost every day of the week though.

That is one sexy 40 year old! 😀

I love how he's all passionate about the weather

PF Changs is pretty expensive. My boyfriend and I would normally order 2 appetizers (like crab wontons and seared tuna) two dinners (he only eats beef and broccoli - loser :meanie:, and I get singapore noodles or mongolian beef or lemon chicken or something else good) and the crispy banana wonton dessert with ice cream. That alone is like at least 50-70 dollars. Then if you get drinks it's much worse.

Florida has pretty much everything. That dish you pictured with the fried chicken and waffles looks amazing (I'm a southern girl so I eat that stuff a lot ). Anyway... we have all the normal chains (We don't have west coast-only stuff like Jack in the Box or whatever, but that's a given).

As far as fast food... Sonics drive-in is my favorite. They have breakfast all day and the BEST desserts and drinks. There is also this Italian fast food place called Fazoli's that's really good I think for something fast anyway.

We have this chain in south Florida called Bahama Breeze... omg soooo goooooddd.

There are little obsure places too that I love. Cafe Tu Tu Tango is amazing... they have alligator bites. 👍 It's a tapas place too so you can try a lot of things. There is a french restaurant in my hometown that serves crepes (dessert and dinner crepes called gallettes) and they also have brioche, eggs benedict, baked brie with fruit and bread, pastries, soup, etc.

I really like food if you can't tell. Oh yeah there are good restaurants on South Beach too but they're expensive. I like Taverna Opa (greek food, dance on the tables and break plates and throw napkins), Nexxt (normal American/European food), and Jerry's Famous Deli. The menu is as big as I am I swear... there's like 400 items on it, full bar, open 24/7.

Um... California Pizza Kitchen is a guilty pleasure too. I love the split pea soup and spicy tequila lime alfredo pasta.

I'm taking Micro just to make my application better I guess. I also just added another pharm school to my PharmCas that requires it, so if I'm accepted there I would have had to take it over the summer anyway I guess.
