Hello, I am interviewing at OUCOM next Friday and I have not seen too many posts referencing it on here. I was curious if anyone has information regarding the interview, where to stay, etc. that would be helpful. Also curious if anyone knows how full the class is by now. Thank you in advance.

The interview is very laid back. You will actually have three seperate one-on-one interviews with various staff members. It is nothing too stressful. There is a program over the course of the entire day where they fill you in on some of the aspects of OUCOM, give you a tour, and you have lunch with some current students. It really is a pretty good day as far as interviews go. I would recommend that you either stay with a current student or stay at the OU Inn which is a pretty nice place and is rather close to the school (not sure of the cost though). There are also some pretty decent looking hotels on State St. I think a Days Inn is down there. As far as how full the class is that I'm not sure of. I think I heard a few weeks ago that they had given out somewhere around 80 acceptances for 100 or so spots. So I am pretty sure there are still spots open, but again don't quote me on that. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Be sure to check out the interview feedback!

Well I love their school, but I just withdrew due to the out of state contract to remain in ohio for 3-5 years. I am a family man now and just couldn't see doing a full ten away from my extended family. So there's one more spot. Good luck. Oh yeah i second that it's a laid back interview and to certainly go over past questions.

I went on a tour there last week. OUCOM is an awesome school! Great academic programs, excellent student services, nurturing friendly environment, friendly staff, beautiful campus. When you tour the anatomy lab, check out the heart with the "pinball pacemaker". Weird! Good luck! 🙂

PS: When you see the torso cross-sections under glass, don't say "they look like something from a butcher shop"! 😳

In at OUCOM and Wright State, thinking of staying in FL though =>

hello, I was just wondering if anyone had any info
on the alternate lsit at OUCOM? When do they begin to
pull people off it and is there anyway to find out your
position on it? THanks.
To my knowledge, they start notifying people on the alternate list as spaces become available once acceptances are declined or people withdraw from the class. As for your position on the list, I think admissions keeps pretty tight lipped about that information. You may be able to get a general idea from them but I think your exact position is unlikely.
