I'm wondering how overall GPA is calculated if I return to school for pre-reqs after already getting my undergrad degree. My transcript for my undergraduate degree lists a GPA of 3.43, but since returning to school for my pre-reqs I have been straight 4.0s, will those classes help my overall GPA, or is it stuck at what it was?

Thanks,

Andrew

Yes, your prerequisite grades will raise your overall GPA. Most schools will also look at both your Pre-req GPA and overall GPA separately as well. Other schools may just look at pre-req GPA and last 60 credits GPA instead of overall. It just depends on the school so if you want to know for sure, you can contact each school you plan on applying to.
