If you have the time, go ahead and retake those B's. Just be warned that some schools average the two grades instead of taking the higher one - it's best if you call each individual program to find out so you can determine if it's worth it to retake a couple classes. People are from everywhere on this forum so it'll be difficult to find someone that already has a list of schools for retakes. Just do really well in the classes you have left. Don't even make getting anything under an A an option.
Cast a pretty large net. Your overall GPA is fine, your GRE is great, your prereq GPA is a little worrying, since I am under the impression that prereq GPA is more valuable than overall. If you really want to stay in the state, I want to just warn you now that it is very competitive and you might be disappointed if you don't get accepted anywhere. Try to do some research into schools out of state and see if they fit your needs or not. Also, since you're a student at UCB and worked in Oakland with Americorps, you should definitely, definitely apply to Samuel Merritt, serving the underserved community runs well with them. Great school, and they calculate prereq GPA in your favor for the most part - I remember they said my prereq GPA was a 3.3 when PTCAS said it was a 3.1.
Just for your knowledge I'll post my stats here so you don't have to go digging in the stickied thread for them. There's hope for us low GPA applicants!
