Ah, here we go, some Whitesnake. A classic, "Here I go again on my own. Going down the only road I've ever known."
This song just shouts manliness. I can feel my man blood pumping to the surface.
Ok that was just a wierd post. Sorry, I must be sleep deprived. That's impossible though. I've gone a lot longer without sleep than this.
And Dick Clark says: "5"
4 OMG it's happening!!
3 come on. I'm almost there baby.
2 faster, faster.
1 yes, yes, yes, yes. Oh jeez, that was good. Ok, I need a cigarette.
EctopicFetus, this one's for you. As we say in Hawaii, CHEEEHOOOOO!!!

I just read this whole thread from beginning to end (not really) and I have to say you guys have no focus at all.
A to Todd, for his Herculean effort, I dedicate Styx's May of 1981 hit that climbed to number 9 on the charts.

And somehow coming from the EM forum this surprises you?
Oh look, something shiny...
On a completely unrelated note, I should be crunching numbers for the research I did this summer. I should have done it this weekend. When it didn't get done this weekend I should have done it last night.
What am I currently doing? Folding laundry, sorting out books to sell, and I have my Robbins open to Chapter 1 so I can get ahead since there's an alumni function for my undergrad that I'd like to attend on Tuesday, which appears to be a busy day school-wise.
It's amazing what procrastination does for my productivity level...

no problem, really hard to hijack a thread that really has no point, so go on hijacking. actually I think I'm hijacking the hijack.
I spent too much time on SDN last night. I know this because I had a dream that everyone was bashing me on this thread and then Lee Burnett stepped in and said that noone really had to read everything, so it's their own fault really. I shouldn't be blamed.
BTW this wasn't my first SDN dream.

If I ever have an SDN dream, I'm turning the computer off for at least a week. 😉

Mr. Vernon: "Now this is the thought that wakes me up in the middle of the night. That when I get older, these kids are going to take care of me."

I realized I had hit the 'old enough' point when my research advisor and I were meeting with our research coordinators (who are about 21). We had an application for a coordinator position with the name Dong.... a great guy. My advisor and I kept talking about 'the donger' but they kind of just looked blankly at us...

Right there with ya Red!
Here's one for you: "I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that." and of course (from the same movie) "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen."

... and if we are going to do 80's quotes, let's not forget that John Hughes once described SDN: "So it's sorta social, demented and sad, but social. Right?"

Good morning? Your post says 4pm. That must be the Hawaii time zone difference. Here is my good evening post pad.
only 1 more day of OB/gyn clinic.
bad part is that I still have quite a few shifts left on L&D 👎

Just dug up a great SDN EM quote:

I've seen too many patients visited by the pelvis fairy 😉
Today we started learning about genital and rectal exams. I'm mighty tempted to do a rectal on a patient, lean in close, and then whisper into his ear, "This never happened."
Been more than 12 hours so I'm padding. On a different note, I got to watch an LP during my volunteering. Yay for me. I can't wait to actually start doing them.
