PCOM Class of 2020

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am going to accept the offer... I did not know i had another account but Chef boy-ar-C and Pharm_C are the same person.
I will be accepting the offer to secure my spot..but I am still waiting on a school here in Texas...I won't know from them until February. I will let you guys know, future P1's =)

I too will be accepting it but I have others that I'm waiting for an offer or decline decision

Just so people know why I choose PCOM.. I went to a college fair in Miami where PCOM had a booth. I had never heard of them but knew I wanted to go to Georgia. The faculty and students literally spoke with me for 45 minutes. I stayed in contact with them and while having lunch during my interview day.. Mr Craig Brown who is apart of admissions and who I met in Miami came into the room to see how everything was going... PCOM has faculty and staff that care so much about their students it's something I have never seen before.. The dean of pharmacy actually teaches courses .. I don't know of ANY schools where the dean actually teaches. The ambassadors and students I met at PCOM stronger believe in their program and after my interview I now know why they talk so highly about their school. I have not met ONE student who has anything bad to say about PCOM !

One last thing .. I was accepted into UGA, Mercer, PBA and Nova .. PCOM was my first choice !

Congrats to everyone accepted .. See you all very soon!

Congratulation! and High five I do really like PCOM too. I only applied two schools which were Mercer and PCOM; however, I had given up on Mercer. I knew PCOM would be my school once I got there. Again I chose my dream school. I will see you there next year

I had my interview with mercer on December 7th and it was a great school everyone was super nice but there is just something about PCOM, their students and staff. You can tell they really believe in their program there and they will do whatever they have to in order for their students to succeed and I loved that! See you next year !!!

GA is a beautiful place too and also we can be BFF lol
Don't get me wrong, I loved the atmosphere in PCOM and how their staff works for the students, but it goes beyond that. My wife works for a law firm and they don't have an office in GA so... thats the reason why I have it as my last choice, but I really would not mind going there because I can really see myself studying there late at night with a good group of people and learning it all. 🙄🙁 I applied and interviewed in schools that are located in Chicago and I really would not mind it there either but it is further from home.:yeahright:

Anybody from GA with knowledge of great places to live across the school or more affordable housing close to the school? Anybody thinking about working while in school. I have my Cpht and would like to transfer it to GA if i can find a part time job.

work for a retail company now like WAG or CVS?

Before the first semester starts i will be trained in I.V, Chemo, NICU, and OR in a hospital i would rather find a I.V. part time hospital job if i could.

I went on my interview on Dec 1 2015, I got accepted a couple days later as my letter came in the mail and my inbox.

Does anyone have any comments that they know about the school? as I did get accepted to most places I applied to and im stuck between a rock and hard place.

Hey Congratulation! so PCOM is a kinda small school. If you used to go to a large school, you wont probably like it. As for me, I do like it alot. I heard Prof from PCOM are really nice and they are willing to help their students. The class size at PCOM is not too big so you can more keep and touch with Profs. I think they may spend more time on individual students. I know a pharmacist ,who graduated at PCOM, work as a pharmacy manager at Kroger Pharmacy. What do you think?

Have any of you guys that accepted logged into your Nucleus account?
Everything including orientation, white coat ceremony is still for the class of 2019?

I know it's so annoying!!! I'm like I need to network with people that are going early but I can't that is why I came to this site lol.

Good luck to you guys, i recently declined PCOM GA's offer to accept me, hopefully that allows someone to get in, that really wants it. I have other offers that were closer to home and are a cheaper alternative.
Best wishes on all your endeavors!

Do you guys have any idea where you have to go for criminal background check? The letter doesn't mention any specific place to go. I emailed admission office , but haven't heard anything yet.

Neither do I, I also would like to know where I have to go for the Drug Test that they explained in Pharmcas, if you get any response do me the favor and let me know, please 😀😀

They said they have not started to send out emails of the background checks. So we will receive an email when they begin that part of the process.

How long did it take you to hear back after your interview? I interviewed last Tuesday.

Yea I started looking online, I only live 3 hours away currently so i'll probably take a trip down there in a few weeks to look at my top 5 places in person.

I would greatly appreciate the information about housing your looking at. I have been looking but everything looks good on paper.

Hey it takes two weeks to hear back after interview! I was interviewed on Nov 24 and got accepted to PCOM on Dec 7. Good luck!

Hey guys! I'm from Georgia and live in atl. I'm not really familiar with Swanee area, but let me know if I can help you out anything.

does anyone know how to log onto nucleus?
I just received my Nucleus log-in info just a few days ago. I believe they should be sending you that information along with your PCOM email address relatively soon as well. You can log into Nucleus by going to "Quick Links" on the main PCOM page

Gentlemen and a scholar!

Congrats everyone...PCOM is a great program. I'm hoping to apply this spring, unsure if I'm competitive. Would you guys mind sharing your background and/or MCAT/GPA so I can better gauge my candidacy? Thanks!
