Wow! Congrats! So you heard from them in almost a week? I interviewed yesterday morning. I hope i get the same news next wednesday!
Congrats!I hope everyone else in my group gets a letter too! 🙂
Accepted!!!! Yessss!!!!!!!!!
congrats! i'm curious, did they also tell you that it would take 3-4 weeks and you just happened to hear earlier or did they say you'd know in about a week?
I also got accepted. I was in the first group on oct 4th. I know exactly who u r Bigboosting because u mentioned how u were waiting to hear back from VCOM-CC, congrats on ur acceptance. Luckily I got accepted to both schools; both schools are awesome.
About 35 miles and 1-3 hours depending on traffic
Try not to fly in to where you have to drive between the hours of 7-9am or 4-7pm
Edit: Pro tip for out of staters...Check http://www.georgia-navigator.com/maps/atlanta before driving anywhere to see if it would be faster to take 75/85 or 285
You'll be fine. The interview experience was really great. At the time I interviewed, it was my third, and it was by far the most relaxed and pleasant interview. It made me think I was crazy to interview anywhere else than in Georgia in the first place...I like it here too much, partly because of the southern hospitality. So try not to worry too much. But I'll send you positive energy anyway 🙂
the facilities are all in one building, which is a warehouse that has been refurbished and just had a cold, sterile feel to it. whereas, other schools i interviewed at it was more welcoming and cozy. PCOM-Ga is a good school, but it just wasnt a great fit for me I don't think.
Can somebody post the link for the status page?

Hey y'all,
I'm interviewing this Monday (25th!) and so I understand there are two faculty members who together interview you. Does anyone remember what kind of questions they asked?
Has anyone ever gotten asked something about healthcare reform or the state of the care now? For people who already interviewed, was the interview really formal or just general questions about why you want to be doc? 🙂
Congrats on the interview.
The interview is very laid back and can be quite conversational at times.
For past specific questions asked, go here. I was not asked any questions about the future of the profession. Pretty much any professional school can be found through these pages by the way.
Good luck!
nope, i guess trena is holding true to nov 17th.Anyone else other than the first week's group gotten their acceptance letters yet?
A class of 3 won't do 🙁
What is our login/username and PIN? Did we set that up sometime prior?
Thanks
In the email that acknowledges receipt of the supplemental app, they provided a login and PIN.
ok thanks! about how long after you submit the secondary should i expect the email? I submitted it a week ago.
It took about a week, you should be hearing from them soon. Good luck!

Hey man,
I'm a 1st year... got on the forums for the first time in a while (you quickly forget about them after you are in and lose your mind and all sense of time). You definitely have to go somewhere you feel comfortable, or you will be perpetually unhappy...
For those of you who are on the fence however, I hope that you make the best decision for you. I've personally lived in many places around the US and Europe, and I'll tell you I am exquisitely happy here.
A word on the building and the community atmosphere.
The building is just that... a building. It houses everything you need to facilitate your studies. There are not a lot of extras.
That being said, Suwanee is pretty amazing. I'm not a city boy by any means, so Atlanta would be hell... but this place is not too overwhelming. The running trails, parks, restaurants, theatres, etc make for enough to do with your very very limited down time. And the ATL is a frequent hangout post-exam. Some students even live there. For those of you already in, I can't stress how GLAD I am that I only live 0.5 miles from school. The fitness room is conveniently free (though small), but there are 1,000 gyms and martial arts studios within a stone's throw.
As for the "family-ness"
I am amazed at how many people in our class (and the few 2nd years I know) are absolutely awesome. You will definitely find yourself with friends that you admire and want to keep up with. Every free moment I get I am either asleep or hanging with different people. Single guys, married guys, golf, grilling, partying... The second years are awesome and really helped everyone get settled in, and the lab TA's are geniuses (also 2nd years).
And the faculty, while sometimes quirky, are very personable and accomplished in their field. There are definitely favorites for their teaching style, but every one is brilliant and knows the USMLE/COMLEX backwards/forwards. That is what counts.
So yeah... the building is mostly a place to study and go to lab. But once you get to know the area and the people, it is undeniably like a very large, loving, slightly damaged family that you wish you had more time to hang out with.

Hey guys,
I got an invite from PCOM Georgia this week. Turned them down because I already interviewed/accepted to my first choice. Turned out ok for me. Would have loved to attend either PCOM-PA or PCOM-GA these schools seem really nice and have top level medical education.
Here are my stats if anyone is wondering:
MCAT-27-Q (7P 10V 10B)
Overall GPA-3.6
Good luck and congrats to everyone accepted!
As BigBoosting said, "Anyone else other than the first week's group gotten their acceptance letters yet?"
"A class of 3 won't do"
Anyone that interviewed in the last three weeks heard anything from PCOM-GA.?
