I have taken the MCAT and am in the process of applying to medical schools. Recently I have been looking into the peace corps. I know this will vary by school, but does anyone know of someone who has applied to med school, then defered their acceptance for a peace corps stint?

What is the best way to find info about this?

yes. you can defer for peace corps

but you do understand that PeaceCorps application process sometimes take longer than your med school app process right? there is a huge waitlist

There is not a huge waitlist, but the application process does take a long time. You have to get recommendations, go through FBI clearance, get medical clearance, and then finally get interviewed. Then, they will assign you if you make it through the process.

The whole process took me about a year.
