Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows / has information on the pediatric dentistry program at Baylor in terms of international student enrollment??
Baylor's website says that international students can apply with only GRE & TOEFL scores (No NBDE scores?!!)
Does the program confer a license to practice??

Any input will be highly appreciated!! 👍

Give them a call and ask them--you'll get an answer much quicker that way!

Thanks for your response Gavin! I do plan on calling them soon.....Just wanted to get some input from ppl already in the program at Baylor

I guess I can answer this pretty well, since that's where I trained. In the 2 years I was there we didn't have any international students, and I know we didn't interview any while I was there either. We did have a resident from Mexico that started the year after I left, but she had been on faculty first and had already done a pedo residency in Mexico. That being said, you can still apply. Baylor is very competitive so I would say you would need great scores, especially as a foreign trained dentist. You will need to take the NBDE and do well. As for conferring a license, each state has different rules about licensing and your 2 years of residency may or may not qualify depending on which state you want to go to. You'll have to do the research on that through the state board. If you are interested in Texas, San Antonio may be a better thought, they usually have at least one foreign trained grad a year. Hope that helps!
