According to stats, your chances of matching if you had between 1-3 interviews is 58%. But don't lose hope! Post-match exists and in the field of pediatric dentistry where there are so many positions, there will be many options available during post-match as long as you're not too picky.

Does anyone know how exclusive it is to receive a call/email from a program letting you know that theyre ranking you?
I have heard anywhere from 8-9am?
Just based off of phase 1 Match results of this year, seems like most will get emails with Match results around 9-10AM. A list of programs with open spots for post-match will be visible on the Match website (for those who are registered with Match) at Noon.

Yes you should be good. There’s nothing more to do after that.
In years past, I received a non-match email around 7am CST.

As someone who didn't match and had to undergo post-match, do not give up hope! I am now at a program that I absolutely love and would not change my journey if I could go back. Just take a deep breath, get your thoughts collected, plug your laptop in, and get ready to reach out to directors with your email. Everyone's journey is different so don't compare and focus all your attention on what YOU CAN DO about it!

Thank you so much for this! Very much in shock and devastated. Completely rethinking all of my interviews and wondering if I thought I did well but people didn’t like me? Idk it’s a weird thing to process. Definitely going to look at post match.
Question—if a program I ranked has an open match spot, does that mean they didn’t rank me at all? So I probably should not reach out? Or should I? Thank you for your help and support!
