I have to agree. If you have an adequate understanding of calculus, physics can actually be better understood since most derivations of physics theorems are calculus based. Calculus based derivations are usually much simpler and less drawn out than algebra based derivations (that is if an algebra based derivation is even possible)
Besides, isn't the science of physics based on calculus anyway? Theoretically, I don't even see a student learning "true physics" unless he/she takes the calculus based.
