Hey all, I'm looking at some upper-mid tier BS/MD schools like:
- UMKC
- VCU
- Baylor
- Hobart & William Smith
- GWU
- etc
Stats:
Race- Asian
School Type- Private Catholic
UW GPA- 3.7 (All A's except in theology) GPA subject to change | 3.86 so far this year
ACT- 36 English, 33 Math, 32 Reading, 34 Science, 12 Writing, Composite: 34 in one sitting
SAT- TBD (October 1)
SAT II- TBD (November 5)
7 science classes in 4 years (including Human Anatomy & Physiology)
7 AP Courses (AP Lang, AP Lit, AP Physics 1&2, AP Chemistry, AP Calc BC, AP Bio
Awards- Highest Honors (10-12th grade) (4.0+ GPA) & Most improved GPA (9th)
Extracurriculars- Basketball Starter (9th), Basketball workouts (10-11), Tennis tryouts (9th), Investment Club (10-12), Robotics (9-11), Medical Career Exploration (11-12), American Chemistry Society (11-12)
Volunteer:
- Local library: 25 hours as a sophomore
- Local clinic shadowing- 50 hours junior year
- Local nursing home- 61 hours junior year
- Children's hospital- 90 hours senior year
PS- I'm 110% sure I want to go into medicine being from a family of physicians so I'd appreciate feedback from other students and especially from students who got into the BS/MD programs. Thanks!
