I wanted to find out if there was a polite way to pass on an II. I have been fortunate to receive an acceptance to a school I really loved and saw myself attending.

Is there a specific way to pass on IIs?
I don’t want to be disrespectful of the process.

I tried searching but couldn’t find a good response.

Thanks

I would thank them for the time they took in reviewing your application and the opportunity to interview, but due to certain circumstances you will have to respectfully decline the II.

I'd probably send a quick email to other schools you're in consideration for but don't see yourself attending over your current acceptance just as common courtesy so they can move on to reviewing someone else's app.

Congrats on your acceptance!

Congratulations on your acceptance @ChiDr , and isn't weird to think you're now at the point of declining interviews? We all work hard during pre-medical praying for future interviews at medical schools down the road. It's just such a weird reversal I suppose haha. What @lilsebastian18 had said is perfectly fine, and usually you'll get a nice response back from the school wishing you luck (At least I have so far).

Most schools will not care, just send a note to withdraw and they will move on.

Basically this. Politely decline. You don’t need to wax poetic about it or give them your life story.

Just say, "thank you for the opportunity to interview, but I must decline as I've accepted an offer at another program."

Don't over think it. Nobody will remember this email or give a rats ass how it's worded (unless you are obviously insulting)

Thanks. I wanted to know if people sent emails directly to admissions or just canceled the interview through system and left it at that. Answered. Done.

I emailed admissions, or called as some required that

You could also just ghost and never reply. Plenty of schools seem to think this is appropriate to do to their applicants so I don’t see the problem.

Ghost em. Don’t ever respond. Med schools seem to like taking this road with applicants so take the example of these elevated peoples.
