So I made this binder about couple years ago with sample pictures of the activities I had done during college. I made it look really nice and colorful with pictures and the name of the activity. I also do drawing as an artist and have a sketch book.
I was always thinking about taking this binder portfolio with me to my interview, however I am still not sure if it's the right thing to do or if it's allowed b/c I know the interview is very short.
I called UOP and asked them if it was ok for me to bring a porfolio and the lady said "generally i shouldn't bring anything".
I was wondering if anybody else has done the same creative thing and if it's allowed.

I think I'd pass on one. Interviews are short and at least in mine there wouldnt have been anytime for something like that.

i think since you already listed your activities on your app, you don't need to bring something in to show them pictures.

I actually called MCPHS too and they told me we can bring a portfolio but they may not have time to look at it. But since I do drawings someone suggested to me to take a portfolio of my art work if they asked me about my hobbies. :luck:

Just the fact that you're holding something (briefcase or whatever) already makes you look professional, my opinion is, go for it if your instinct tells you to.

I would highly recommend bringing one. I put one together, very professional and the interviewers loved it. They were very impressed and that I looked like I was taking the program very seriously. I say go for it and if anything it'll leaving a good lasting impresssion on them and let them make sure that they remember you. Mine is about 18 pages by the way and I applaud you for putting one together. I also made sure to put a section with my marketable skills, career and professional goals as well. Trust me, it's a showstopper. You can't go wrong with it!
