processing time for MPJE application

I applied to take Pennsylvania MPJE through NABP more than a month ago, but my application status still shows Eligibility Requested. Is it normal to take this long to even get approved for taking MPJE exam? I am already licensed in other state and want to also get licensed in PA. Have you recently applied for MPJE through NABP. And how long did it take to get application approved? thanks!

Expect about a month turn over, up to 2-3 months if your state has BS quality assurance review thing..

yeah, turn around time really depends on the state. it took me about 11-12 weeks for texas. Check their website to see if they mention anything about expected turn around time. (for example, texas BOP says something about please don't contact us until it has been ___ number of weeks)

I applied for licensure in PA via reciprocity this year. I applied first on the NABP website for a preliminary application, then 13 days later I applied on PALS (the PA licensing system). Thirty days later I called the board for a status update, and they told me there was a 90-120 day wait. One hundred ten days after submitting my PA application, I finally received an email from PA saying my eligibility had been granted. It was a Friday. I received the ATT from Pearson the following Monday. So it took 113 days from the day I submitted my complete PA application on the PALS website.

As for the actual license, I took MPJE on a Wednesday and had the results five days later (Monday). The license was active 32 days after taking the exam.

You only mentioned applying on NABP. Did you also apply on PALS with the PA Board of Pharmacy?

texas and colorado each were about a month before i could test i wanna say. but you have to be johnny on the spot with all forms and money to make them move. This is all about money now. send everything certified overnight...etc. and leave the burden of work on them....

I only applied on NABP for eligibility to take PA MPJE. My plan is to take MPJE first and if I pass MPJE, then I will apply for the reciprocity license with PA. Am I in wrong sequence of steps of applying for the license? Do I need to apply to PA board for reciprocity first and then apply for MPJE with NABP? thanks.

Texas took almost 6 weeks to approve me to take the MPJE, which is funny because I am a veteran and it says they are "expedited."

Yeah give or take a few weeks, it's no bigge. Your licensed in quite a few states. I'm not sure if thats a positive thing or simply jumping state to state for crappy jobs, ya know? i'm licensed in FL and CO, set to take texas MPJE but never did...LOL I just felt like the field was so aweful that I would just be hopping from one bad situation to another.

I'm doing it because most of these are states that require the PIC to be licensed there to ship to residents of that state.
