(In lieu of bumping an old thread on the same topic, I thought a new thread might be worthwhile.)

Anyone have recommendations for books on public health and sub-disciplines?

- "The Great Influenza" by John Barry
- "The Coming Plague" by Laurie Garrett

I'm reading "Autism's False Prophets" by Dr. Paul Offit right now and am liking it. I also have "Vaccine" but haven't finished it.

And the Band Played On (AIDS)

The American Plague (yellow fever)

These are just a fraction of great books that you could read. Click any of these links and look at the 'books also bought' section. You'll see literally dozens and dozens of other books.

Vaccine is really good. Brings alot of depth and understanding to the history of some important vaccines. Then you realize this one man, Dr Hillemann, was involved with so many of these vaccines.
