My (male) input: This is sometimes a problem in med school since there is less leisure time, and meeting people is so random. It would be nice if there was a more systematic way for those who were interested to easily tell who else is available and interested. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

my suggestion: women could try approaching a man they'd like to do and say "look, we're both totally busy, and i'm not looking for a boyfriend or husband, but i think you're kind of hot and, well, would you be interested in f*cking sometime?"

if a woman could get past the stigma her own kind place on that behavior, she will get all the lovin she needs, and it would be a rare (and gay, terrified, or married) man who refused.

LOL...OMG, this thread is sooo true. I think med school and the lack of time does make the hormones go wild which makes studying practically IMPOSSIBLE! I can testify to that.

Re: horniness and medical school, I think you crave sex because it is a stress reliever. So, the more stressed you become, the hornier you'll get. As a borderline asexual being, medical school has done wonders for my libido.

Man it's getting really really bad man. I am starting to think about things that I would ordinarily not think about. Then this guy I fancy, I saw him like 3 weeks ago and I've been obsessing over him . I saw his picture on the school directory website and he wasn't even THAT cute...aka...if I wasn't in this situation, I probably won't consider dating him. But for some unGodly reason, I still want him.

Welcome to a man's world! Except we've felt this extremely horny way since oh about junior high or so. Then all through H.S. then all through college. I suppose it's our earlier onset of sexual prime and what not. But still, I just hit 30 and I haven't noticed any downward trend in my libido, more like it increases each year.

I would say don't approach someone in your class. It has way too much potential to turn out really really bad. Residents can be good though. I think your problem is very common. I kept my most recent ex around for an extra year and a half, mainly for the sex.

It sucks, but vibrators, etc. are probably your best bet overall. Exercise is good too.
