Currently working as a general, but now considering endo.

Is it true that you can do well seeing only around 6 patients/day with sick call/consults? Low overhead and easier practice management?

- pros/cons?
- are cases typically very difficult?
- fast paced?
- reimbursement rates getting worse?

Appreciate any input

Everything you have heard is true. Rates just depend on where you work and what insurances you take. But you still get reimbursed fine. With Eval, scan, molar RCT I think we generally get between $1100-$1300 depending on the insurance. Total cash cost is about $1700. It's as fast paced as you want it to be. Older guys I am with do say cases are getting more difficult. But it's pretty much what I expected.

The best advice I can give you is pursue it if you love it. If you don't, you won't be happy. It's a challenging job. Nothing we get is "easy". Easy stuff stay with the GP's.
