ive heard its pretty good, but i havent had a chance to flip through it. hall came out with a new edition, and it is still considered the gold standard.

I have the new Hall edition and it's actually more condensed (good or bad I don't know). Yes, Hall is the gold standard for basic radiobio. I flipped through what Amazon allow for the Steel book and it looks pretty good...takes a more clinical stance on radiobio...how radiobio applies to everyday clinical rad onc practice.

I have both, use them both. I like Hall a bit better, but I have background in it too. They are pretty complimentary.
I like hall quite a bit and he wrote the boards. Ill give you guys a big hint though: get the miller radiobio notes. I would put money on his being the new person to write them. The RB question on the boards were straight out of his notes and includes stuff not in hall.
There is not one person who writes the boards, but rather a committee of people. The people who write the questions include the same people who write the Rabex questions (which apparently will be available to all residents at no charge this year?).
