You'll never do that in the midwest/east. Even in jersey we got thunderstorms a couple times a week. NOTHING like the storms in okieland though. :scared:

I went to the doctor and got some migraine stuff this afternoon for a killer headache that was making me feel sick to my stomach and cry because I felt so crappy. It worked!! gaaaaaaaa, freaking mosquito bites!@!!!!

i wish i could take a bath in calomine lotion...

or yesterday i said i would pay someone to scratch every single one of them at the same time. but then my bf said it's like crack...it'd be great while it was happening, but then afterwards i'd just feel nutty.

Put liquid soap on them (dish soap will work if that's all you have available) and let it dry on your skin. Seriously. Don't know why that works, but it does.

P.S. I bet the explanation has to do with chemistry. 😀

We'll try to watch the fireworks from our house I think. My daughter should really like them this year. 🙂

I'm going to search the internet today and try to figure out what is wrong with my doggie based on her symptoms. *sigh* She has has been really sick since Friday. The vet will have lab results back on her tomorrow hopefully.

Aww, sorry to hear about the dog. It's sad when anyone is sick, but it's worse when it's little kids or animals, because they don't understand what's happening to them. 🙁 I used to want to be a vet when I was younger. I volunteered four hours a week at the Humane Society all during high school.

I wanted to be a vet too and volunteered for one in high school. I hated it though. It was so sad to see the animals when the owners waited too long to bring them in. 🙁

My dog is going to be 13 in September and I've had a feeling something is wrong with her for a few weeks now. She lost a lot of weight (from 38 pounds in February to 34 pounds on Saturday). She hasn't been able to keep any food down since Thursday so she's probably 32 or 33 pounds now. She should be around 37 pounds. I just hope I don't have to put her down soon. I'm not sure I can handle that.

hmm, sounds good! i will try that! 🙂

gotta love chemistry! i think i'd be good at nephrology...especially considering that i've had a lot of exposure to it b/c i worked at a dialysis clinic and then with nephrologist researchers for a few years. 🙂

I am going to figure out my benefits this morning, pay bills, and figure out when I am going to take Step 3. This afternoon, watch the shuttle launch, and then maybe check out some parks around town.

Awww, well we're far enough away that we can see them but not really hear them.

My daughter is kinda odd with certain things - wind freaks her out and only in the past few weeks will she actually go down a slide at the park. 😉
