Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Sorry to hear about your friend (the one who's self-destructing), but you can't force people not to be self-destructive. I speak from personal experience on this one.

Why do you hate amino acids? Amino acids rock. Pretty soon, I'm going to start reading about how to catabolize them, but I'm not ready for their imminent destruction yet. 😛

My dad just got a new, HUGE HD TV. So I am watching football in high def, went fishing a bit, took a nap outside in the shade, watching NASCAR tonight.

*steals TypeA's Texas card* 😉

Also lots of playing with my precious niece, of course.

Edit: picked up a remote control boat for the lake. 🙂

I have to admit that I like biochem so far. It's pretty interesting. I just hate having to memorize stuff that has no logical system behind it. (like the naming system for amino acids) I'm doing pretty well so far.

👍 I'm watching Wash vs OU in high def right now while I study amino acids. My dad's TV is 65 inches!! It's like they're going to come right through the screen!

oxeye! i like the new avatar--is your little one sitting on a manhole cover?? lmao!:laugh: my lil sis would do stuff like that--omg! funny story--i was with my little sis at panera bread and she pulled the fire alarm--i about died!! the place was packed and people were heading toward the door b/c they thought there really was a fire.

I had a bit of a hassle with the cable modem but it's all solved now.

On Monday, I'm starting a week-long optional course on disparities in health care (2/3 of the class is taking it), then a week of orientation, and only then am I actually really truly finally starting. 🙂

Penn State just got hammered by ND. Everything that could have possibly went wrong did. 😡 Charlie Wise is a joke, I can't stand that guy. Coaches football for 1 season and everyone thinks he is some kind of legendary coach. oohh im so bitter. :laugh: Next year. Beaver Stadium. ND goes down HARD!

Ok, I have realized that my eyes are too old for Chemistry. Is REALLY sad when you can see what the measurement is because..well...you can't freaking SEE!!!

The furniture is actually very tolerable. I keep finding the weirdest things... like a lifetime supply of chopsticks in one of the kitchen drawers... but on the whole I'm very pleased!

I just need to get a couple more pots and I'm going to be just fine. 🙂

i think every musle from my waste up is in pain right now.... the truck is all loaded with furniture and ready to go to my apt. i've got a couple of people helping me unload it tomorrow so by this time tomorrow i will have been in my apt for a few hours just getting everything in place. i. hate. moving. at least the worst is over now.
