Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Hey all! Congrats Ana on the TAMU interview.

Hubby and I went out today...like I said earlier...Best Buy (oh, what a thrill - ugh) and then to the mall. I had to get new lenses because my optho made MAJOR changes to my Rx yesterday. Unfortunately...I couldn't see out of them. I felt seriously stoned! So, it was a wasted trip to JHU (like 8 hours RT driving) and then a wasted trip to LensCrafters. Now, I am sick.

Hubby is being so sweet, but I feel totally horrible. 👎



(That's ok...I have some super plans for a great get-away in October that are making me happy!)😉

heh, not quite... i'm an undergrad alumni, and they just killed Notre Dame today.

I'd give up a kidney for an admission to their Med school though 😛

You mean besides ripped, hot guys and a vintage mustang? :meanie:

Um - they would have to make going there cheaper than going to Baylor - which would be difficult because Baylor is sooo cheap. But I don't know yet how much I'll like it.

I heard they're recruiting hard this year... I wish I put my application in sooner so I had a chance at an interview 🙁

Ana, that's freaking awesome! Baylor will come, I promise. They only have one interview day every two weeks where they interview like 60 people at once, so they do it in batches. Where else are you still waiting to hear from?

Schools that I'm actually complete and could hear from: Baylor, Wake and Temple.

There's other schools where I could possibly finish up the app but I don't know that I will at this point.

I would complete Emory, UNT, and Wash U. Emory and Wash U give scholarships. UNT is a state school.

Think worst case scenario here. What if that were the only school that accepted you. Would you still not want to go there? If you'd rather not go to med school than go there, then ok, don't fill it out. But if you'd go there over waiting out a year, then finish the durn thing, girl. 🙂
