Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

sticky traps. 👍 that is what helped us with our problem this past winter. We caught 3 of them like that and another 3 we threw in the trash (felt bad about that).

now i have 3 weeks until my next exam. the packet of notes we got today was freakin' huge. Some of my friends and I are going to start meeting like every day to review and try to keep up.

Just curious......Do the credits for these classes get carried over to med school?

As much as I hate millipedes, I would rather have them in my house than mice. 😱

I was at a friend's house once watching a movie and mice just started pouring out of the walls. It was like something out of a horror movie.

The very first cheap a$$ apt that I got when I moved out of my parent's house had both (saw them after moving in which really sucked) ......that was probably one of the most stressful times in my life. Mice can easily be controlled, but roaches, otoh, not so easy........ah never again!!!!

ugh, roaches really gross me out. knock on wood, i haven't seen any of those. we have had the occasional millipede though. and we did have mosquitoes for a little while.

I don't know what's more disgusting mice or roaches (esp the big ones) 😱 :scared:

There are certain things that I just never learned in med school. Blood gases - no clue. Antibiotics? Hahaha. Any eye thing? Whatev.

I have had a bunch of "pt presents with such and such symptoms, what antibiotic would you give" questions on this test. I usually know what the infectious agent is, but then making the leap to which antibiotic you give is a major issue.

If only you could take Sanford's into the test with you! :meanie: That is one of the few books I had on me basically all the time in med school.

I'm kind of glad in a weird way that I only have a month. I don't want it hanging over me for a long time.

Yeah, I pretty much did. :laugh: It was really funny actually because this was a married couple, and the guy is kind of a macho type, and he jumped up on the couch and was screaming like a girl. :laugh:

I was like, "I'll go to Walmart and get mouse traps!" *runs away*

It was so bad that when I got home I went through my purse to make sure I hadn't brought one home with me. 😱

I had a standing movie date with them once a week and after that episode we watched all the movies at my house. 😉

When I was in undergrad I did research on zebrafish. All the fish tanks were in the basement of this old building. The cockroaches were SO BIG they would basically pick you up and take you back to their home.

But THE BEST THING was when a cockroach would get in the fish tanks - the zebrafish would beat the crap out of it. It was really cool. 😀

the newest thing in my apartment are daddy long leg spiders--yesterday i tried to save one--get it on the end of my swiffer and take it outside--but it tried to get me so it had to die. i am sooo scared of spiders it is not even funny.
