Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

We've been through highs and lows in Part 5. From the final matches of Andre Agassi's career to the loss of the World's friend, Mr. Steve Irwin. May he rest in piece.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

Leno just said if Michael Jackson was on Survivor, which team would he be on? LOL

Meh...Jay Leno isn't funny at all imo. He just relies on gags like stage props (fake consumer products), newspaper ads, sketches like Bush, etc.

The clip that he did today was hilarious as hell!

He used to break laptops, phones, and TVs back when he was on the floor at the NYSE I think in his younger years.

oh man flashbacks.......I used to work as a financial assistant for this penny stock firm where I inputed the sales/purchases of the company as soon as the market closed.....hated every minute of it....it's like they had their own freakin language that i couldn't understand....plus every morning i would get yelled at because i made a mistake inputting either the price or the # of stock 😡

Really? I thought it was really good. 😳

I was just going to come in here and post that I thought it was worth all the hype! Anyway, I enjoyed it. 😀

I didn't think it was bad.....I think it'll get better as the season goes.

I wanna buy an all in one type of board game.....with chess, checkers, scrabble and all that good stuff.

Nighty nite!

Had my first day of work today. I get to work with a heart surgeon from Cleveland Clinic 😀 (well, long distance so um, sorta kinda not as important as I just sounded, but cool nontheless:laugh: ) I'll be working with a team of engineers on their current cardiac assist device project

Random fact I learned today: 7 out of every 10 CVCs are Arrow, and most of the components are manufactured at the headquarters here in good old Reading Pa. I knew this town was good for something besides outlets, drugs, and crime!

Hey guys!

Sorry to just keep popping in and out but they are keeping us hopping during our O-week. I'm having a fabulous time, although I'm so jealous of you guys who got to watch Studio 60.😀

I just got back from our sponsored outing (great bar -- indoor sand volleyball, basketball, bowling, darts, pool, air hockey, foosball, you name it) and have to be back at school in seven hours so I'm going to blog and to bed.

Hope everyone is well!!

Hey Molly! Hope orientation is going well!

*sigh* WoW just went down for 24 hours.

What am I supposed to do now, study Step 3 or something? :meanie:

Or, I could watch my Kill Bill movies that just arrived today!

Still sick. Dang, I am going to miss 3 classes today. I need to be in those classes. This is driving me crazy.

How is everyone else today?

Hubby's going into it and you haven't seen it yet? 😱

I liked how the field was pretty intense as far as problem-solving went. Especially at the university hospital, there were so many patients with bizarre illnesses and others that required such a fine balancing act between the treatments for their multiple afflictions. The attendings spent a lot of time discussing minutiae though, and every other patient seemed to be another diabetes ulcer or congestive heart failure.

I certainly enjoyed it, but I like surgery better at the moment. However, I'm not naive enough to think my interests won't change when I hit the wards (hopefully) in a few years.
Well I've been trying to stay away from the main teaching hospital here that his classmates are at. I feel weird because its such a small school and I really don't want to run into other classmates :meanie: Plus I'm more interested in peds or ER anyways. So I'm in the NICU right now and loving it. Its weird when you find that one specialty where you think you'd fit. Granted, I haven't seen it all but I have a feeling I'm going to do either OB/GYN or Peds. Ob/gyn is not as high as peds only because I only like the OB and wouldn't enjoy the GYN. Maternal-Fetal medicine would be way cool. Then maybe a fellowship in genetics or something like that. But also I don't wanna be in school for like 15 yrs and be like 45 out of fellowship 😛
