Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

yeah but i could kick myself! ugh. how was your day? are you done working?

my patient is losing his eye. ophthalmology is taking it out today. long story but he has out of control diabetes that led to a mucor sinus infection (a type of REALLY REALLY bad fungal infection) that cost him his right eye. yeah, diabetes is a bitch.

the attending and I are gonna try to write up the case and submit it to a medical journal to get published.

this was this pts 3rd presentation to the hospital in the last month, the first 2 times they thought it was a bacterial infection - they didnt realize it was fungal until they went in surgically yesterday to drain the sinus abscess and sent it to pathology. it all started when he had some cataract surgery a few months ago at some outpatient clinic, that surgery combined with the out of control diabetes looks like the cause. sad sad sad case, he's 74 and has no family to be with him. zero. his only family is in another country. now hes gotta live through the rest of his life with just 1 eye but if we didnt take out his right eye today the infection could spread to his brain and kill him.

 I am lame and just googled myself.

Those of you who know my real name, type it into Google Images. The first two are me. The others are not.

PS: This is not work safe. 😉

I should have put one of those other pics on my ERAS!!!!

C'mon...you KNOW those next 8 are you....

Okay - so I've decided that the classmate list is a moot point because I'm dropping out and going to Cancun to sell hemp jewelry. Seriously. School sucks.

You want to go into business together? I've got mad business skillz and seriously considering doing the same thing.

Sweet and I'll take care of smoking the hemp... I mean braiding the hemp.

so THAT was your secret, 41? admit it!

ha, you should just tell all the random people that come up to you and ask about your score that this was your secret. your schools mcat scores would drop like stones.

They're still calling me by my score 🙄 I felt bad about getting pissed about that but then my friend pointed out that I'm pissed because I am more than just a number.

I need to go to the grocery store. I think hubby has this idea that we will eat dinner or something...😛 So, I suppose some food would be helpful.
