Despite the threat of being banned by certain evil Randomite moderators on power trips, I couldn't resist posting a nice set of breasts.

Happy Thanksgiving Randomites!

garlic smell removal on fabric you can't throw in the washing machine - wash the area with laundry soap and water, rinse, and let dry. Squeeze a few lemons into dish soap and water and wash again. Rinse and let dry. Rinse with fabric softener and let dry. Leave fabric softener sheet over area for a while, until the smell is gone.

garlic smell- improving after a thorough cleaning with Woolite Power Shot carpet cleaner.

carpet cleaner smell- improving after a thorough drenching with Extra-Strength Febreze 😀

cookies- lots more coming. I'm baking gifts for 8 people.. a friend just gave me a recipe for cheesecake cupcakes which I think I'm going to have to try.

bwahahahahaha- as I type the MacKenzie Brothers' 12 Days of Christmas is on the radio.. "2 turtlenecks and a beeeeee-eeee-eeeer in a tree!"

I would like to remind gradu8 that this is the Random non-MCAT thread.... 😀

In other news, I got 2 pans of brownies and a batch of cookies baked in the last 2 hours. I 😍 my new oven, and thank GOD I get to give all this crap away on Wed and Thurs.

Mmmmm baking. I had an urge to make rice crispie squares today...something simple and quick. However, due to said snowstorm, I really don't feel like trudging out to the grocery store to get the ingredients. I'd much rather watch the storm from the comfort and warmth of my apartment 😛

So my buddy won at his boxing bout last night! No blood for him this time, either. That's the final punch that determined the outcome of the fight (it had been going even till the last moment - the decision was split, but he still won):

POW! I'm so glad he won, last time he was pretty down on himself after losing, even though the guy he lost to had 3+ years of training behind him, and my buddy had been training for only 6 months.

Anyway, we had a great time up there...he stayed up there for the night with his brother and their friends, and my friend and I drove back. The downside was that I was so riled up, I couldn't sleep all night! I got about 3 hours, despite not getting up for good till noon. Now I have my orgo II final tomorrow, and just remembered that I have to go volunteer in an hour! Ahhhh!:scared:

that's one of the few things I don't have the ingredients for right now. I have a ton of different flavors of chips- cinnamon, butterscotch, white chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate/caramel swirl.. several others..

I grabbed a cool recipe from a friend on making cupcake-sized cheesecakes which I think I'm going to have to try out tonight...

cupcake sized cheesecakes sound amazing (of course, cheesecake ANYTHING is amazing..)

I lost like 3.5 pounds in the last 2 weeks, so of course, today at my volunteering job I received a box of sea shells candy as a holiday gift. *sigh* 🙄 So far, I've been able to control myself, but we'll see how it goes...at least, if I lose it tomorrow, I'll make up for it at boxing.

sunday nights are the worst
because of monday mornings 🙁

True dat. There just aren't enough hours in the weekend. Particularly pre-holiday weekends.

I'm really hoping when I'm a doc I won't dread going to work on Monday morning so dang much, but for now, I DESPISE it.

Fun! I am also planning on baking some gifts to give out on Thurs. at work . . . but I thought I had to do it all the night before. Maybe I should re-think that strategy!

I did get some really cute packaging materials for the yet-to-be-baked goodies at Container Store yesterday, though! 😀

hmmm I'd love to be a guinea pig, however, I think they might be stale by the time I could get there 😆

school should be over... they don't want to teach and we don't want to learn. its christmas time.

I have a friend who has a brain tumor that has evolved into spinal cord/neural mets. he has just a couple days to live. so sad, he's just a kid (actually a friend of my best friend's baby brother- they are abt three years youner than us)...

That Dr. Pepper looks good...I wonder if we're gonna get that flavor in Canada, tho.

I just got back from my 2.5-hour workout (shoot me), and took some progress pix...whatever I'm doing is working. Not bad for 10 days given that I also ate 2 giant burgers, a box of sea shells candy (these Guylian ones....mmmm, so good 👍), and a slice of cheesecake during that time frame, so it's not like I was depriving myself. My lats and my abs are definitely more visible.

8 more lbs till I make the weight class. He actually wants me to lose 19 to improve my chances, but I don't know if it's gonna happen - I think I'd have to lose a bunch of muscle to get there, which is counterproductive. He just doesn't want to send me in the ring with someone 6' tall, which makes sense, but there's gotta be other women out there built like me. It's tough as a female, because there just aren't many fighters to go up against, so I could easily run into a situation where there's no one in my weight class and I have no choice but to lose more weight. Men don't have this issue.👎

LOL, I love how every pic of me has a piece of cat somewhere...you could play "where's Waldo" with them.

yay pbandj!

jochi, the "where's waldo" is pretty funny. and congrats on the working out bit.

two more days of school then its christmas break. and physics was cancelled tomorrow afternoon, so i'll be done tomorrow by 1 (depending on how many hrs I have to pick up at work tomorrow) I'm so ready for a break... here comes three weeks of mcat 🙄

LOL, I just lost another pound. I love breaking plateaus.👍 The downside is that I have all this energy and am bouncing off the walls when I'm supposed to study.:scared:

The orgo exam yesterday was pretty tough, but I'm pretty confident about an A. However, an A+ would be nice, since stupid Ontario schools convert As to 3.9.👎 We'll see, I probably won't have the grade till January.

Wow, so, uh, a TOTAL stranger is staying at my house tonight....

:scared:

I was working out at the Y and was heading home when my buddy who works at the front desk was like, "do you know any cheap hostels around here? This friend of mine needs a place to stay for 1 night." So we brainstormed for a bit and called a few places (the guy came to the Y thinking they have rooms, but our Y is gym only), but to no avail. So I was like, "well, I have a couch so your friend can stay with me for the night." He was like, "ARE YOU SURE?" I was like, "um, of course!" 👍 So I went to stretch and then he came up to me, so I asked how he knows this guy. He was like, "Oh, I just met him...which is why I said, 'ARE YOU SURE!?'" I was like, "WHAT!? 😱 I thought he was your friend!" He was like, "well, you know me, everyone's my friend!" I was like, omg, ok. :scared: But it's this quiet little Japanese guy who's just vacationing around Alberta for 5 days, and I box, so really, I didn't have much to be scared of, so I figured I'd let him stay here. My friend is gonna come by to check on us tonight and bring some bedding for him (I don't have any), but so far it's ok, he's pretty nice. He's from Yokohama, so we talked in Japanese for a bit, and I guess if I ever need a place to stay in Yokohama, he's got my back! We just went and got dinner at the mall, wanted to watch a movie, but the times were all weird, so we just went back to my place.

Anyway, this is so random! But I remember when I first got to Canada and had nowhere to stay, nobody did this for me (even so-called "friends"
rolleyes.gif
), so I know I would've appreciated someone letting me stay at their house when I had nowhere to go.

yes that is random 🙂

ur crazy jochi. but I'm glad to know I have somewhere to stay if I'm ever up your way. lol.
Hehe, yeah, we spent the whole evening talking, I'm going to bed now. I hid my car keys and wallet, of course, just in case, but he seems like a totally cool dude.
