heh... i had the unfortunateness of having a dude next to me who finished all his sections like 20 minutes early.

that and in the middle of verbal i remembered i might not have erased a mark on a question in PS. took me like 5 minutes to re-focus 😡

I don't think I did horribly, but then again... I don't think I did fantastic either. My whole feeling about the day was "..eh.." which could be due to the dreary, rainy weather... the fact that the next day was fountain day... or my looking foward to getting piss drunk that evening (which didn't even happen... i was a grumpy buzzing lili)

when i got to VR i was second guessing whether or not i wrote the date next to my signature on my answer sheet for PS...and then i was wondering if i'd automatically get a 2 for not following simple directions. i tried to snap out of that as quickly as possible.

filling out those stupid blocks were hurting my hand... and then i was going crazy to the point of making sure each and every dot was darkened correctly and didn't stray outside of the circle

Oh my word, I am SICK today :barf:

I left the house about 30 mins ago to head off for an appointment. I felt nauseated and about 1 mile down the road I had to work to keep from vomiting.

Needless to say, I came back home. I can't imagine if I tried to drive the 60 miles I was going to. It was like being car sick in the driver's seat.

I feel such a heaviness in my head and my visual field is causing my stomach to feel sick. It just came on this morning and I'm not sure where it came from, but I'm going back to bed.

I called my families, but one had a busy signal and is a perpetually hard-to-get-ahold-of person. If they get pissed for me not showing up - too bad. I let the service coordinator know just in case and gave my home number if they need to call!

Also - beary, Arsenic, anybody else - I have a question re: PhD in med school.

As a former doctoral student switching to medicine, I plan on applying only to MD/DO programs not MD/PhD or DO/PhD programs, mostly because I want to concentrate on the MD/DO degree. I've been thinking though, what could I do in the event I get through my 1st or 2nd year and decide I still want to pursue a PhD in addition to the MD/DO? Do some schools have options to enter a PhD program while in med school outside of the MD/DO/PhD route?

I have found myself in A&P class switching to doc student mode by thinking of interesting research ideas and can see myself really wanting to pursue them if the resources were available. Anyway - anyone have any info about that?

now, I'm going to bed - the typing is making me dizzy!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I don't think I was able to help Arsenic very much because all my stuff is so ridiculously technical that I have almost no introductory clinical stuff. Now if he wants to talk about a novel adenovirus vector that has no viral genes and uses a CK-18 promoter instead of the strong viral promoters that most folks use in CFTR gene transfer, THAT I can help with. 🙄

Ha - you're very lucky you missed my skitzo post. I keep going from "eh" to "holy crap I totally screwed up" - Realistic estimate: like a 33 - maybe? Eh - everytime I think I've settled on a good estimate it just seems wrong (like now I think 30). On the BS I feel like I completely screwed up the Orgo and funnily enough, I kept thinking "Q will be so disappointed!". June can't come fast enough.

My dad went the MD/PhD route but never finished his PhD (thought his data wasn't publishable). I'll ask him some questions when he gets home if you like (granted he graduated med school in 1963 so maybe a bit outdated info 🙄 )

I was thinking about MD/MPH but I've heard 1. They're competitive and 2. Kinda useless in a way.

MD/DO and MPH aren't too competitive from what I heard but I would be interested in it for the epidemiology standpoint. Also since there are different tracks it would also prepare doctors for manangement positions.

Yeah, it is a bit dark. But when I used the flash it was WAY too bright. It is my chow's paw. We call it a "cube". Chow paws are L=W=H. Cubes! :laugh:

That is frustrating. I hate how people just change their mind or put it on the market to see what type of bites they'd get. I know a few people that would do that. Sucks.





Speaking of frustrating, my professor who usually s pretty cool won't let me make up a lab without a drs note. 🙄 I have probably just lost my hope of an A in this class as I've been border line. 😡

Thanks folks. I may very well take him to court. I am burning up the phone lines with my agent, his agent, my brother (who is a lawyer), etc., trying to figure out what to do. I am just crushed. I really loved that house and thought everything was all taken care of. And I can't go back there! I just can't believe this. I do apologize for my profanity earlier - I edited it out.

PS Megboo I'm moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan to go to U Mich for path residency. I had gotten myself a very nice little house five minutes from the hospital out in the country with a nice deck. 🙁

Yes they can. If it was only on her part making an offer to purchase. He has the right to refuse and take the house off the market although I wonder what he agreement was for his realtor was because I'm sure that person isn't happy they ar elosing the commission.

Dude if everything was signed, take him to court. I thought you were referring to the offer contract. I bet you he got another offer on his house.

Seriously, we tried to back out of buying our house when that murder happened. Can't do it without a trip to Judge Wapner.

Well he accepted my offer (we countered all day yesterday). We settled at a certain price, with certain contingencies, etc. So I don't know legally yet what the situation is but I am working on it right now.

I figured from yoru statement after the original that is what happened. That sucks but hopefully things will work out for you. He is obligated if he signed the papers. (He should have taken the 3 day attorney review if he wasn't sure about it). I hope your day gets better.
