Me too! I was gone for two days and come back and Andy has deschutes' avatar (defiled though it is), deschutes has Andy's avatar, and yaah has some avatar that I can't identify.

Bacchus! I had to look it up. I never knew it (or is it he) was the root word for "bacchanalian" (which sure sounds a lot better than "orgy", to my mind).

I believe Bacchus is also the God of wine, am I correct? aka Dionysus. I was always amused when I was younger that there were a bunch of Roman Gods, for things like War and the Sun, etc, and then at the end they threw in Dionysus who was the God of wine. :laugh: Those crazy Romans!

But I have since been told that it is a Blockbuster guinea pig named Ray. I believe deschutes was the first one who recognized Ray. 👍
 
Yay! I am on call and already got called to approve platelets on a guy with a count of 220! They gave him plavix, the fools. Why is a guy with a subarachnoid hemorrhage on Plavix? I guess he was admitted with a TIA or something. Oops.
 
I have had two interviews this week, which while interesting and enjoyable, have been exhausting. Tomorrow I have a neuro test which I think I have a very high likelihood of failing.

At least I have a few hours left to study! Better get off SDN! 😳

The Husker game was very close and exciting. Huskers beat KState 27-25!

I have been sitting here writing innumerable thank you notes to interviewers while listening to the game.

Things are evolving in the Wolverine's favor so far.

Iowa beat Wisconsin knocking them out of the Big Ten race.
Now, Michigan State has to beat Penn State to give the Lions their second loss...of course, Michigan has to beat the Buckeyes (highly unlikely this year based on watching OSU's play this year but one can always hope...plus, home field advantage will be huge!).
 
Michigan is coming on lately. It's hard to tell whether they have been playing crappy teams or their offense really is good. Obviously, will find out next week.

As for MSU beating PSU...:laugh: About as much chance of that as me becoming a world reknowned expert on diseases of the ovary.

yes of course.......lets tell scary driving in the snow stories. One time i hit some black ice on the highway and my car spun around three times and slid into this huge ravine. i thought i was going to die. the end
 
I've been averaging one 30-minute CP conference talk per month since residency started, because I've been on CP all this while - with no end in sight!

It's a local audience (vs. say a regional/national conference), but all this holding forth on a new topic in the Specialty Of The Month that you only peripherally understand as a first-year.... grrrrrrh.

Plus this time it's about bloodbank. Fascinating fascinating bloodbank.

At least after Tuesday I won't have any till February. At which time I get to talk about clinical chemistry. Whoopee!

Yeah, I don't think this is going to happen. MSU is really on a downward spiral. They got utterly embarrassed by Minnesota.

The only thing the Sparties have going for them is that they're playing at home. MSU might have a chance if they pull their ground defense together...they need to step it up and make a difference.

Their secondary just blows though. Fortunately, PSU doesn't have a very impressive passing game.

We'll see what happens.

But the bigger game...is Michigan vs. OSU!

We had a tornado watch this evening. I don't think we got any tornados, but we did get thunderstorms and I think a little hail. I guess we'll see if we really got hail if the car dealerships have hail sales soon. Great time to buy a car!

Office Space is on now. I have been converted. ****ing funny movie.
