The VA has very poor snow removal techniques. I have to park across the street and there is no shoveling at the crosswalks, so I have to navigate the ice hills to get across the street. I fear one day soon I will fall and my head will be crushed by a passing Honda.

I'm trying to scam a blue pass today from one of the postdocs in the lab...if he can get one for me, it'll cost me $250 but you know what? that beats walking 20 minutes to get to lab everyday.

Oh yeah, that shuttle blows anyway.

That shuttle is east german vintage, I think. VA was slow today. We were done signing out at 10:30 am and I was done grossing at 1pm. I hung around because I had to.

btw, that UofM vs. MSU hockey game IS here at home. scored a ticket to that game too...i'm psyched! haven't been to a UofM hockey game since like 2-3 years ago (can't exactly remember). Now I gotta relearn all the taunts and chants.

When is this game? Like I said I don't have hockey tickets. I have been to a couple of games there, but not in a couple years. Hockey is a great sport to watch live.

apparently the seats we got are money! we got 4 tickets from a faculty member who has been getting tickets for 10+ years!
 
Yeah, the atmosphere at (i.e. the noise from) a hockey game is unbelievable! I miss playing. These days I can't even find someone to go skating with.

You play hockey? I learned to ski instead of skating and playing hockey, but I still enjoy hockey. Out of practice with skating though.

We haven't had any hockey talk in awhile. Here in hockeytown we are all depressed as well. I was looking forward to my first red wings game.

yeah I can only imagine. I was going to wear my flyers jersey to work since peeps were allowed to wear their eagles jerseys ... didn't though 🙁

Correction: I played hockey. First year med school. 😀 It worked because I didn't have to know how to stop - there were boards, and I could always take someone down with me.

I've done crosscountry x1 and alpine x1. No time or energy or $$ for more. When I hit residency that will change.

AVOID anyone that hasnt had sex recently, they are grumpy, irritable and downright a$$es to work with. They made my life hell is residency and they plague me to this day. In ancient times, it seems everyone got laid regularly!

What the hell happened? I blame either dermatopathologists or N.O.W. Screw it, I blame both of them today!
 
Brilliant solution! When I am a doctor I will prescribe sex as a solution for the common cold, the war on terror, the lack of coffee and waist-deep snowdrifts 😉

Unprotected sex also helps with women's mood. I guess the little guys carry an armament of endorphins with them. Sex would be a Rx for all the things you mentioned and I am certified practitioner according to the medical board of california.

It was a great game until the last minute of the game when Michigan State (down 2-1) pulls their goalie. Then they score with 1.2 seconds left! WTF?!?

Overtime...no scoring...tie game...everyone leaves dejected.

The best part of the game is hearing the chants from the student section (I was in the alumni section...right behind the south goal 👍 ):

"Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! It's all your fault! It's all your fault! It's all your fault! It's all your fault!"
