A slip of the tongue is in no way the fault of the mind.

As of today I have decided that all this speaking of yaah in the third person is unhealthy. As such I will desist immediately.

Carry on now.

This must have a deeper meaning cuz I have no idea WTF you just said.

Unhealthy? Hmm...perhaps it would be unhealthy if I did this but I can't see why it would be for others.

And yes, things drive me batty. I think it's a good descriptive term. Similar to "nuts."

Perhaps "unhealthy" is too strong a word. I keep thinking of those weird conversations where the person being spoken about is present but doesn't participate! I've been in a few myself and it's a somewhat out-of-body experience. Not pleasant or unpleasant, just strange.

How picturesque. Maestro! C3PO needs batwings. Flapping around his head, if you please.

I jumped too far with my previous retort - I meant to say that he was in over his head, since he had no idea WTF I had said. (Therefore it follows that he is shorter than me.)

But I recognize the truth of your statement. And will now go to bed giggling madly.

(And we are back to the 3rd person!)

It was too good to be true.

Controversy and trouble-ridden Michigan team vs. #1 undefeated Illinois (who is now the ONLY undefeated team in mens college basketball).

I told ya Illinois was gonna win.

Dammit. I put a meal in the stove but I can't remember what time I put it in so I don't know when it is supposed to be done.

Damn Alzheimer's.

Don't you put a meal ON a stove, or in an oven?

At any rate, I sympathize. I had the same problem tonight. I just kept stirring until it looked done. I was too hungry to care.

Dammit I think you are right. Oven and stove are far from equivalent.

Sigh. Good thing I don't have to make any life altering decisions tonight. :scared:

My brain is already dead, but at 7pm I am supposed to go and meet a preceptor to review OSCE videos. This fella takes 2 1/2 hours to go over 3 stations, and I have 2 stations left.

Plus this time, he doesn't have a meeting to go to at the end.

Dammit!

Oh goodness. If there is anything worse than an OSCE, it is watching a video of an OSCE. We had to watch them too - a video of the male/female GU/GYN exams. They were filmed in the late 70s so all the people in it were very stylish.

She may not need it to match but double check on that because I don't know if the rules are different for AMGs and IMGs. Some schools don't even require Step 2 for graduation. I think there was talk about this in the USMLE or Gen Res Issues forum.

CS is required to become ECFMG certified....hence you need it as an IMG to obtain a residency in the states

acks-squeeeeze me! Well, then you are in the clear........certain programs don't require CS before July 1st but others do. I took mine in Aug '04 and just got results a couple weeks ago!

Funny funny.........it's you that totally undressed the patient only to listen to her bowel sounds

that's a nono? i used proper draping technique though.

oh well, my score report is apparently in the mail. i hope i didn't fail.

"Proper draping technique." That's a laugh. I can't believe patients actually care. When I go to the doctor I could care less if the drape me appropriately. They see naked people all the time, what are they going to do, laugh? And so what if they laugh? Who cares? People are so sensitive.

Ever been totally naked in a cold room? It's not hospitable.

"Draping" is not the same as keeping warm. I don't get naked in the doctor's office and wait there like that for him/her to come in. But I also don't care if my tummy is exposed when they are listening to my heart. Or if my groin is exposed when they are examining it. I gave up my hangups on being shy awhile ago when it comes to stuff like that.

Whatever dude. You know you are running around the office commando while waiting. 😛

I show up to the appointment naked and sit there in the waiting room. I find they generally take my in early and I don't have to wait. I recommend it. 👍

I realize that, but there's nothing I can do about it. My third year is also my final year, and I made that clear everywhere I visited. Would you take CS before finishing 3rd year rotations? I wouldn't if I had a choice, but that is what I am going to try to do.

I'm sure you'll do fine.

(as I await my CS score report which is in the mail 😱 )

If I fail this, I'm gonna be super pissed. I don't have another $1000 to spend.

It's an exam to test your english. I truly would not stress...I'd take it as soon as you can. 👍

I finally managed to schedule it this previous Monday when the system went online again.

It's frickin' February. It was December when I sent it into the office to get it signed and stamped. Holidays and more delays.

But any rate I got my date - March 2 in Houston.
To be preceded by 5 days in San Antonio for USCAP.

What an interesting life I lead.

I hope you are right.

I now have to find time to take CK, and with all the damned time that I have to make up I suspect I'll be writing two 9-hour exams within a week of each other. $h*+F@^K!!

Studying for CS is a good warmup for CK. But you been studying for CK so you should be more than prepared for CS. At least March 2 is fast approaching.
