At least you didn't fall asleep on the floor.

I can never manage to sleep on the floor no matter how tired I am. I need something underneath me. A pillow alone just won't cut it.

Did you sleep on the floor?

Yeah I got up at 5:05 this morning and took my time, left a little before 6. Got in and read about a few weird tumors before the 7am conference. I learned a lot in that time, because in the morning my brain works exceedingly efficiently. I almost am tempted to do this every morning now - I was doing it back in august and september but recently when I had CP months I slacked off. 😳

I woke up before my alarm today too. It's all about going to bed early.
thing is i been going to bed every night around 1 am. that means i got 4-5 hours of sleep every night these past few days.

i'm wired on caffeine now though. i feel good.

perhaps when i get back home tomorrow morning, i'll make you a cookie. 👍 and i'll make myself one for being a newly converted morning person.

andy's brain contains this thought:

"damnit fellow postdoc...finish your tissue culture already so we can GTF outta here!"

Caffeine makes me nauseated lately.

I love cookies!

Bet he said the same thing an hour ago!
he has a warped sense of time actually.

he always shows up like an hour late to each event.

so when we all meet at 6 for example, we tell him to get there at 5.

I did indeed. I stayed up all night working on a Neurology assignment and fell asleep by my computer around 6am. My schedule has been screwy lately. Mostly because I've been celebrating being done with interviews and on a cush rotation that allows me to sleep in.

A cush rotation that gives you assignments that keep you awake all night and make you fall asleep by your computer around 6am. Riiiiight.

My cush rotation was the same. I was exhausted by 9pm.

Next week: Surgery!!

That sucks donkey balls.

Sleeping on the floor is the major sux0rz!

there's nothing wrong with cush rotations. enjoy them while you got em. 😀 👍

Perhaps clarification is necessary: the cush rotation is now, but the Neurology rotation ended a week ago. I'm only now getting around to finishing the assignment.

My dad is a trip! Apparently he gets my Step 2 CS score report in the mail. He calls me up and leaves me a message to tell me what it read...here's an excerpt:

"I got a letter from the USMLE indicating that you have passed the Communication skills and Spoken English Proficiency sections...so I guess that means that you are not mute or hearing impaired."

AM-

Please! Please! I'll do it too! I'll even buy you alot of Guinness!

- b-face

Since I missed the dialogue, I will address the above concerns point by point:

1. I am not a drunk.
2. Valentine's day is the last day you would ever see Andy do karaoke.
3. I have moved on from Guinness to Newcastle. Thank you.
4. I agree with the person who said that Monday would be short notice.
5. I did actually sing one song on karaoke tonight - "Big Balls" by AC/DC

deschutes said:
Who picked the song??
I did. 😀

And since people were running around with this digital camcorder, I decided to steal it before I went up to the mic.

Not in a while, bananaface, but I sense it is time.

(sings to the tune of Sailor's Hornpipe: )

Do your balls hang low?
Can you swing them to and fro?
Can you tie 'em in a knot?
Can you tie 'em in a bow??

There was a conversation about fungus and I missed it? Dang. My autopsy patient yesterday had fungal septicemia.

Was call day smooth sailing today? or did you end up getting called in?

Total silence. I don't know whether the primary person had any cases or not though. I forgot the number to call to check the message we leave about whether there are cases or not.

I had a nap this afternoon. 🙂

Shh, there's a fungus among us.

I'm tipsy, therefore everything I say this evening will be funny. Laugh.

Wait. How long are you on call for?

Naps are good. I had one myself this afternoon (I was supposed to go to lab this afternoon) and as a result, I'm now paying dearly for it.

On call from 8am to 1pm sat and sunday when you are on autopsy call. Although if you get a case you can't leave at one if it isn't done. But if you don't have a case you don't have to go in at all.

If there is H2O on the inside of a fire hydrant, what is on the outside? K9P.
