I just found about rSDN yesterday. The interface on SDN lounge is better. But you can curse on rSDN. And you can say anything you want. I always felt that I had to hold back somewhat on SDN Lounge. I can talk seriously, more or less, on the SDN forums (like the MSTP and Path forums) but I can just cut loose on rSDN.

And on rSDN, I won't be banned for my HotSteamingTurd username, which is a plus. And I can use an avatar that suits that name on rSDN, which is a bonus. 👍

Part of it was explained to me yesterday.

I guess there was more chatter on that forum though since kinetic got banned...oh well, i can see myself going on rSDN once in a while to blow off some steam 🙂

A site that arose after the Lounge ppl revolted against moderation in January of 2004. Basically it's a say anything do anything site. Mostly the activity peaks after someone is banned from SDN and everyone goes there to talk to them. Than after about 2 weeks most people get tired of going there and the activity dies down.

so what would happen if somebody, who got banned previously and has a notorious history on SDN, came back and played nice. given the IP address match, would said person be automatically banned again?

I had thought that the lounge was a say anything do anything site. :laugh:

I'm not a huge fan of the lounge, and just went over to check out rSDN, and didn't really like it. Did see some HST posts though. 😉

what happened with your HST handle? Did the mods or somebody just tell you to open up a new account with a different name?

the lounge is pretty loose compared to the other SDN forums. but you can't go completely balls out crazy in the lounge.

oh btw, that HST person in rSDN isn't me. it's some poser pretending to be me. my actual account on rSDN is FuriousTenesmus.

It depends on how much time has elapsed and what the offenses were. Usually what happens is that they come onto the radar and get banned because they aren't playing nice. The only other ways for them to come to the attention of the mods is for them to publicly acknowledge they are a returned bannee or for us to randomly find an IP match. The latter is pretty rare and would probably only happen if someone else at their same IP was also screwing around. Most people are not stupid enough to do the former.

Yeah...here, I'll log onto HST here. You'll notice that the name is yellow. Click on it and you'll then see that my account is on hold.

Anyways...one of the mods politely asked me to re-register onto SDN with a different account name. I kinda made a fuss about it but I was being a little bitch that day.

If there is one disease I would much rather not have it would probably be end stage renal disease. Schizophrenia is freaky too.

Grand Rapids is an interesting city - kind of cool although also old fashioned. We visited the cemetary where a lot of my relatives are buried and the whole cemetary is basically polish last names, rather interesting.

The disease I do not want, for what it's worth, is ALS.

yeah...i remember driving back to ann arbor on friday. i changed into my ultimate frisbee clothes and drove straight to the field without stopping at my apartment. my teammates made me play a lot of points since i missed last week's game and they claimed that i was "well rested" since my ass was sitting in a car for 7 hours. i was sucking wind but the beers afterwards were 👍
 
Well, it was 2 1/2 hours drive there, then we were in the car driving around GR visiting people and reminiscing, then more sitting in the aunt's apartment which was about 85 degrees, then we went with her to dinner and my dad wanted to drive around more to show her some gravesites, then I drove back. My ass hurts.

yeah, i wouldn't access the site from a public place or at work. some of the content that would be flashed on the screen would only serve to embarass you if you got caught.

Is the filter infallible?
Have you beat it yet? Doesitpickup****ingimbeddedwordsaswell? I have seen slight alterations fool the **** out of it. Will it pick out foreign mierda? (?sp).

well f-u-c-k, there are several ways to beat the filter. i don't know how many f-uc-king ways there are to do it but some involve using the f-ucking hyphens. i mean fuc-k, there are so many f-u-cking permutations of this.

second, it's kimchi. i know not what kimshee is. but i do know that kimchi makes your breath stink like a llama's nutsac and causes you to fart fire...that's how prometheus actually discovered fu-cking fire...it wasn't a gift from fu-c-king Zeus. Mercury (yeah, the dude with the wings on his feet) actually picked up prometheus and carried his ass all the way from greece to asia. there he met captain masayuki jackson (the dude with the samurai sword with the words "bad motherfu.cker" on it) who introduced him to kimchi which gave prometheus some fiery gas.

third, where am i now...i'm right here. you trying to outnumber HotSteamingTurd's posts is like playing against a cripple in one-on-one soccer (kinda how Cartman enters the Special Olympics to try to win $1000). the catch is, unlike cartman, you actually win because HST no longer can post 😛

Is this like one of those TV show lives that has a bathroom with no toilet?

I so wish I got to watch South Park and Jerry Springer. Sometimes at work Jerry Springer is on at lunchtime. I miss Ricki Lake. I loved making fun of the dumb people on that show.
 
Is Ricki Lake still even on? My afternoon was more productive. Went and picked up the dry cleaning, went to get a car wash, the post office, and donated blood.
