The only christmas card I got this year was from my mortage broker and my real estate agent. That's it. I assume that it is the new address that threw everyone off and not their overwhelming hatred of the pingu family. 🙁

I have a great card planned for next year, though.

I am not even sending any Christmas cards this year. 🙁 I just don't have time between interviewing and studying for Step 2.

There is no way anybody could hate your family with you sending out autographed photos of yourself! 🙂 I actually am giving my grandmother a framed picture of my senior picture for Christmas. 😳 It's what she asked for!

It just occured to me that I believe that Pingu is the only one of us who has never changed avatars. Maybe GreatPumpkin as well.

I actually don't like that word. It's annoying and trite and overused. I would rather even say "betrothed."

The "little rat dog as a toy" craze has gone too far here. SO many freaking people have a little rat dog in a bag in their arms or are walking it with it wearing some kind of clothing. No doubt jewelry is next. It has also gone far because even former football coach Jimmy Johnson has one. I know this because I saw him yesterday (at the Beverly Wilshire - do real men stay there?) cradling one of the little rats in his arms. :scared:

I have to laugh at that because we do live around LA...and we do have a little toy dog (maltese) that we take everywhere. He is just too cute and loves to be carried in a bag 🙂 . Of course he is way cuter than a chihuahua!!!

Three people have asked me for my address for cards. But, none of the cards I have gotten have been from those people.

I've heard from several people regarding how good this movie is. I will need to download this at some point.

28 hours until the "big" Michigan vs. Nebraska game! ESPN is predicting that Michigan should win...basically this is a recipe for disaster. The last thing Michigan needs is to feel confident and then go into the game and play lackadaisically and sloppy.

It was showing one weekend at the student union theatre. I think I had noted it down in my calendar, but I ended up going on a foodie quest that Saturday night so the moment passed.

Guess there's always Netflix.

Dude, it's Henne not Henning.

Hart is ineffective today. But I guess one has to take into account that he's been less than 100% this year.

I'm glad we gave you that one loss this year. It was one of the few bright spots of Michigan's season this year.

I'm doing OK. Work isn't busy since it's the holiday season but lemme tell ya, it is so hard to motivate myself to drag my feet into work this week.

Overall, I'm hangin' in there. How have you been?

Score-wise, it is an excellent game, I agree. It's just that Michigan used to play much better than this.

And I don't understand making a link between this game and the shared national championship back in 1997. These were two very different teams.

Yeah, Michigan folks will throw a hissy fit about the bad officiating but the Huskers just pulled through when it mattered the most.

Oh well, I guess we have to wait many months until the start of next year's season 🙁

Michigan **** the bed last night. It was a typical game for the season - getting out to a lead and not being able to close the deal. The officiating was really crappy, but for both sides of course. That last play was bizarre, and it would have been very interesting if michigan had scored - which it looked like they actually should have!

I am back from LA. An interesting place. Was in Santa Monica yesterday - my two favorite bum signs:

1) Adopt a hobo: $1
2) I need to reach a goal of $1000. Please help me in reaching my goal so that I can get out of this horrible place.
 
I got paged by gift of life here to go and see if a body was in the morgue and if his chart was there because they couldn't find it.

I feel your pain. My mom does stuff like this ALL THE TIME. I love my parents dearly, but have been home for more than a week and am feeling looking forward to going back to my own little condo.
 
While I was on call last night I created a team on Madden football that consisted of mostly players who were either 7 feet tall or 5 feet tall, and either massively overweight (you can go up to 420 pounds or so) or underweight (for a football player). My QB is 7'0", 400 lbs, and is maxed out on speed, agility, and passing skills. The team uniforms I created were a mixture of hot pink, neon green, and light purple.
 
I would just like to semi-publicly state that I loathe and detest the first day back to work after extended holidays/vacations. Readjusting one's circadian rhythms sucks ass.

The games yesterday was pretty good too. Although I should hate Ohio State, I was very impressed as to how they dominated Notre Dame. Regarding West Virginia vs. Georgia, I thought WV had the game in the bag after scoring all those points in the first quarter. So I took a nap and missed the rest of the game. Apparently, Georgia came back! How on earth did all that play out?
 
I don't know either. WVU looked pretty good early on. I went to bed about 9pm though so I saw about 30 seconds of the game. Tonight PSU started off well. I am upset I won't see the whole Rose bowl though, it's on too ****ing late and I am not putting my life on hold for USC or Texas. Screw them.
 
Of note - the people in the ER thread are getting awfully excited about approaching path's # of posts. I am almost tempted to create a post pad thread on here, and then post 100 times, and see the response in the ER thread the next day:

Funny...this thread used to be a post pad thread at one point. At another point, this thread was used to bitch about things. This thread is quite versatile.

PSU vs. FSU is turning out to be a good game. I love these defense-heavy games!

I am very happy I didn't stay up for that game. Does it really get them better ratings to start the game so late? I mean, even on the west coast this game ended at 10pm. I tired of the continued persistence of starting a game that includes two east coast teams in an east coast city at a time that is more conducive to west coast fans. Bull****, I say. Tonight's game I have more sympathy for, I won't complain as much.

We only had 6 cases to sign out today on gyn path - three were tubal ligations. One other was a dermoid cyst with a lot of brains in it.
