Random question (this thread seems like the best place to do that, I guess?): does anyone know if the powdered L-Lysine marketed to humans is okay to give to cats? As far as I can tell the only difference between the two is the extra flavoring added to the cat version, which I don't really need since I just mix it into his wet food anyway. And the human version is MUCH cheaper than the cat version, which would be appreciated since he'll most likely be on this stuff for life . . . thoughts?

Fairly certain it is okay - my vet recommends people get the human supplement version since it's usually cheaper and I've been giving it to my cats for years 🙂

I just had the most random phone call, ever! Claimed to be some student from the U here in my town, knew my name. Started asking me "survey" questions. Things like ethnicity, hair color, eye color, ageshoe size

They have a lot of apartment and houses for rent listed! And it's neat because it shows the suggested rent for the area vs what they're asking. It just needs a "find the ghetto" feature because the area we are moving to can be a hit or miss.

Does anyone have a foot tattoo? if so, how has it held up? I know sometimes the ink can fade faster in that spot....
I do. It's on the side of my foot (about 3.5 inches by 2 inches, plain black script). I've had it since 2007 and it still looks the same as it did the day I got it. Out of all my tattoos, it was the worst, pain wise. Compared to it, the one I got on my neck was a cakewalk.

Awesome. We're you able to wear shoes after getting it? Or did you have to wear sandals for a certain amount of time?
Honestly...I can't remember. I got it done in May that year, so I'm sure I would have been wearing sandals at that time of the year (in Texas), but I'm sure I kept it covered with a gauze pad or something for at least the first couple of days.
