Job searching was stressful. Finally found and accepted a job so that stress was over. Immediately moved on to new stress: housing.
Sad news is stress is actually non stop. The more you have to adult, the more stress things pop up. Tis why when you get to a certain age, it is allowed that you say and do as you please because you've moved on from it. Circle of life. Waiting for some more grey hair to come in before I completely give up my civility and tolerance. haha

I'm absolutely dying from stress because I can't prove my income to any of the places I've applied because I still haven't gotten any sort of employment contract from my internship site. I am pretty sure I am about to lose a great apartment at an amazing deal because of it and it's keeping me up at night

Can you reach out to your internship site and explain this to them and ask them if you can just get a generic letter confirming you do have an internship and what the base salary is?

I already have and haven't heard anything back from them yet 🙃

Unless I react badly to a final drug change on Thurs, I'm tentatively going back to work next week (finally!!!!! :heckyeah: )
My doctor didn't seem to think this was as good of an idea as I think it is.
What's the worst that could happen
YOLO. Science isn't going to do itself.

The internal cold feeling was probably the worst part for me out of everything. There was no amount of layers or heated blankets that fixed it and since no fever Tylenol didn't help. It was just so cold. But I'd do it 5466543 times again to not get covid.
Pfizer: not much better. Got my second shot yesterday 1pm, fever (101) and chills since last night, fever breaks with tylenol but comes back, and chills just won't go away. Very nauseated, and body aches all over.

That’s about how my friend with the Pfizer one was 😅 hoping it gets better soon!!

Emailed that to the complex yesterday, waiting to hear back from them if they'll take it
As an update on this, they need actual paperwork but my internship site got back to me and let me know I'll have paperwork within the week. Called the complex and they were cool with it and said I wouldn't lose out at all by getting it in to them next week.

No it's not. I am sneezy McGee alot in a normal situation. Took allergy meds and was fine after like an hr
Okay good 😅
I also have allergies to everything but I’ve seen that sudden allergy like symptoms are potential COVID symptoms instead so I always get slightly paranoid when mine are worse one day even though I literally go nowhere aside from school for covid testing 😅😅😅

(And it’s not COVID correct? Because it can cause an increase in allergy-like symptoms that come on out of nowhere)

big time THIS. My first symptom was my nose running like crazy and being super itchy. This is very normal for me during the warmer months, and had it not been January, I would have never thought to quarantine!

This is interesting. I can always tell when I have a cold because before I feel any other symptoms, my nose will run so bad it's basically like water coming out of it. I haven't had COVID though so can't compare

So last year I applied to a set of scholarships through an association and got emailed that I recieved one. I go to upload picture and things and my name isnt in the upload box. I email them and I hadn't actually recieved the scholarship.
Fast forward to this year I applied to a set of scholarships and my name is on the list for the scholarships and so is my friends. Today I'm talking to said friend and shes like yeah I got an email and it was this much blah blah blah. I hadn't gotten an email yet. Fun fact apparently also didnt get this said scholarship.
Like how. I feel like getting struck by lightening is more common😐

That's so lame. That isn't set offered by the school is it?

Most recent yes... It was weird too because the scholarship had me and 2 others listed but no info next to the scholarship like the others so honestly I have 0 idea wtf even happened. Like I got a scholarship through them last year but the new scholarship wasn't even close to the old one to be like a typo so yeah. Fun times :dead:

Got the J&J yesterday... been feeling dumpy all day but better than getting Covid!

I got the J&J Vaccine Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday evening: Throwing up, terrible chills, high fever, unbelievable sweating, set off the worst kind of my phantom limb pain allodynia/hyperalgesia where it feels like someone is electrocuting me at the base of my stumps or branding me every 5 seconds. The sensation shoots up through my body to the base of my head. After about 12 hours it honestly starts to mess with my mind and mentally break me down. Completely sleepless night, literal torture. The bouts usually lasts 48 hours but I am still dealing with it once a minute 4 days later. I don't know what the hell is going on.

Still have a low grade fever too.

Wow, that's scary. Have you seen your doc?

Wow, that's scary. Have you seen your doc?

It's decreasing thankfully! Just getting intermittent zaps now, maybe a couple an hour, hoping it'll be done by tomorrow. There's nothing my pain doc would really do, no one has any idea why those pain attacks start; I haven't been able to figure it out. I really wish I could infuse lidocaine into the tissues that become hyperaesthetic. I mean, maybe I'll experiment on myself soon 😀.

Health insurance and billing...Got a bill saying we're responsible for the ENTIRE regular yearly appt. Yeah no-insurance EOB says they're waiting on you guys. 🙄
I feel you. Ever since I got diagnosed with sleep apnea and have had to pay for my CPAP rental, I’m just super fed up with insurance and billing. Something gets messed up like every other month.

ugh I feel for you so much! My mom just had a bunch of medical things done and her CPAP stuff keeps getting messed up too!

Nothing like a older tough military dude choking back tears to say it's okay to stop CPR, but please "hug their boy and tell him they love him so much" to really emotionally **** you up in a day. ugh.

I'd probably have to choke back a tear at that too!

So Zoom now defaults to playing a sound every time someone enters or leaves a meeting, and they make the setting to change this default difficult to find. So like half the faculty have it enabled during class and we have to painstakingly walk them through how to turn it off--the only problem is that it turns it off for that meeting only. 🤦‍♀️

When you hear 130+ doorbells for every class session you get a little sick of it.

My hot water started to go out last week. It would run for a few minutes then be luke warm. Our rental agent threatened if there was nothing wrong we would have to pay for the visit so I thought it was in my head, then when my roommate returned from OOT she confirmed something was wrong.

So they sent the guy out yesterday, he replaced both the heating elements, said hot water should be back in an hour. I was too busy studying to shower.

Tried to shower this morning and it isn't hot or lukewarm - it's freezing cold!

I assume you're renting in WA so please know they can't legally make you pay for a visit if nothing is wrong. This group helped me a lot when I had a 💩 landlord who tried something similar: Tenants Union of Washington State

Dealing with an owner who is a malpractice attorney is so much fun fun.. especially when they are high maintenance with a "designer" bully breed who underwent a brachycephalic airway syndrome surgical procedure.... 3 more weeks left. :bang: :dead:

And as an update to THIS, I just signed a lease with this complex today 🙂 such a huge weight off my shoulders!

I need to stop hanging out on the cutesy animal Facebook groups that I'm on, people keep posting utterly insane veterinary advice and I have to constantly remind myself to not get into arguments with *******es on the internet
I had one of those moment on an instapot recipe group 😕 Also just regular FB scrolling. Reason 999 I plan to mostly ditch it once I'm out of school (but rn our class mainly communicates that way)

My favorite recent one was someone telling another person their cat only had five years to live max because it had a history of URIs lol

My current one is someone calling a vet an idiot for not casting something on a horse that is generally never casted and is typically treated with special shoes + stall rest. "These should ALWAYS be casted" thanks for your medical advice, Barbara
