Or just ignore the dr and only wear contacts all day every day forever.
I haven't touched glasses since I got contacts 6 years ago and don't plan on it. Waiting for them to make better Lasik for people with astigmatism (and of course to have more money!)
👍 That's how I've been for at least 4 years if not more. Didn't see the need to mention that to the eye doctor. I love waking up and seeing and not stumbling around cause I can't. So, as long as there aren't major issues with wearing contacts 24/7 (such as I'll eventually lose my sight), I'm prolly going to keep doing it. It's a bad habit I was going to attempt to break since I've gone without contacts for almost a week (and it's been the longest week of my life!).
My vision worsened a little bit more, and now has been stable for about 8 years (surgery was 11 years ago).
During almost every eye check-up I have had since then, a different doc has commented that the surgery was really well-done, so it just seems I am destined not to have completely "normal" vision.
At the beginning I was really disappointed to have had an unsuccessful surgery but I got over it. Also my vision is WAAAAAY better than it used to be so I do get away without glasses for many things.
For what it is worth, my wife got the sx at the same time. She had completely corrected vision with no problems. But now her vision is starting to deteriorate ever so slightly, so it is definitely not a lifetime correction!
Sorry about the bout of bad luck!!
🙁 Maybe I will consider it. since I've been glasses-ed for about a week now, I'd love to not have to rely on them or contacts. But, I'm just as happy with contacts 24/7 (even though my corneas prolly hate me

)
Ugh. Classes start again on Tuesday, and I'm only taking one science class this semester (developmental bio) which isn't even going to be fun
Sorry NStarz! I kinda share the feeling of lack of bio classes: I'm taking devo as well & molecular (and the rest are humanities

). But, we can maybe gripe about devo together (or you can teach me
😉)
I have a year warranty on it. I'll think about taking it in next time I'm home. If I lose my laptop for a couple of days while I'm away at school, it will drive me a little crazy... I use for my schoolwork and I use it to watch tv on.
Boohiss laptops! I had a nightmare with mine starting this summer & caved into buying a new one (and still have 2 broken ones...). It's a dell that is so-so and is Windows 7. Those computer companies get you...you can't live with your laptop, but you can't live without it! Send it back since it's under warranty? (even though it's hugely inconvenient!)
Mini rant of the past hour: First, my allergies are going a wee bit crazy so I stuff a tissue up my nose (It stops the drip!) but my family laughs at me ridiculously for it. Second and worse: my room is overwhelmed with stinkbugs! I can't take it!! It's been like this since I've been home from break (like over a month) and I am
terrified of bugs (along with car accidents). I'm the type that screams until someone else kills it (think of the new mentos commercial with the spider - it's hilarious!). So, I hear the damned things in my sleep & pull the covers over my head. But, as I'm trying to pack for school, I was setting my clothes out but I do not want dead (or live!) bugs in my stuff. HELP! If anyone has advice on how to get rid of the buggers or ease my fear, I'd appreciate it. Until then, I've moved myself from my immensely comfortable bed to a not-so comfortable room downstairs on a futon. *sigh*
Sincerely,
