This is a rant, but I'm looking for advice. So any input is appreciated.
My manager told me at work today that the high school kennel assistants feel that I "come off to harsh" because I keep them on task. She told me they don't think I'm bossing them around, but that I just ask them/tell them to do things that they don't want to do [pretty much, in short]. My manager said she thinks the kennel attendants are just confused because they never met me and all of a sudden I become their superior, etc. (this is because we get new kennel people while I am away at school and I only am at the clinic during my breaks). My manager also told me that I do too much at work and that when other assistants work with me, they feel like they have nothing to do because I get everything done on my own. I was very upset when she told me this because I try to be very conscious of how I talk to my coworkers, especially when I ask them to help me out or do something (always please/thank you, or "when you have time.."). I honestly don't know what I can do differently. My manager even said there is nothing that I can do differently, that the love me, and that I have a great work ethic.
But, I want to know what you guys think, especially since most of you have worked in clinics. I want to better myself, just don't know how to..
