My bad my bad
Husband asked me yesterday if we should stock up on emergency groceries in case of a quarantine, and then came home with the beginning of a cold, so this has been my weekendIs this because of coronavirus because if so hoo boy I have a rant
I need people to chill the **** out
I get asked at least a dozen times a day if we have face masks and my location has been out for a month. First of all, a face mask is not designed to protect you from other people's sick, it's designed to protect other people from your sick. Second, even if it did protect you, there are fewer than 20 confirmed cases in the country right now, and most if not all are very mild cases. You should be protecting yourself from the flu by, idk, getting a flu shot or washing your hands. Because there have been literally a thousand times more deaths from the flu this season in the U.S. than cases of coronavirus. And thirdly, people went so friggin nuts over face masks that people who legitimately need them (e.g. healthcare professionals, commercial painters, etc.) can't get them.
Chill. Out. It's not the apocalypse.
(But I will concede that if your insurance will allow you to get 90 days of your prescriptions, you should do that because the FDA just announced the first drug shortage due to COVID-19. More are probably coming.)
In their defense Saturdays are usually jaaammmed. It took me like 45 minutes to get an order tonight. You just placed your order at a bad time (dinner rush).Oh sweet... Im already in the Rant thread... I ordered some Wingstop and it says "Your order will be ready in 99-104 minutes!" Lmao like wut? I'll be there in 20 as usual and if its not ready I guess Im not eating tonight.
Not even in undergrad? The dorms? No summer camps as a kid?Fortunately Ive never had a roommate except for cats and hamsters.

Once I rolled over and saw my roommate sleeping. I've only ever seen my sisters or the occasional cousin sleeping. For a moment I thought how funny it was that colleges just bunked two complete strangers in one room together. Why the heck was I watching a stranger sleep? Not even in undergrad? The dorms? No summer camps as a kid?
Yeah, If you're already there they'll expedite it.lol im a regular... ive never seen it longer than 35-40 minutes. But i got there about 40 minutes after placing and they were telling people it was an hour wait. She checked on my order and then i think because I was there and it was already in the process of being made she got them to make mine faster and i only waited another 5-10. So overall it was under an hour when I actually got it. Not the worst thing. Can remove this rant from circulation now lol
That's real crazy for pick up though. I'd expect that for delivery. The longest we've ever told someone was 60-90 minutes and that was for Superbowl.lol im a regular... ive never seen it longer than 35-40 minutes. Heh, my parents divorced in either kindergarten or 1st grade, so I got used to saying "Mom's house" or "Dad's house" (though Mom had full custody so that was "home" until senior year). I just got used to mentally saying "home" = "wherever I happened to live." So when I lived in the dorms in undergrad, that was my home. And any future apartments were "home." It's funny when people just say "home" referring to "where my parents live" or "my childhood home" without a second thought.Summer camp? lol ok dont really count that yeah of course i did... but no, undergrad lived at home. then apartments in med school and internship, then a house in residency

They'll spit in your food!Next time Ima ask for the MsP discount

One time atbandsummer camp when I was 16, my roomie and I were having a random convo after lights out, and I heard the most disgusting noise (like a saliva fap fap fap fap), but it stopped when I stopped talking. Me, an intellectual, just straight up went, "Dude! What's that noise? Are you ****ing jacking off?" He went "Noooooooo." I went "Oh ok." But it continued. Ugh.
Then towards the end of the 3-week camp, during the afternoon one time after we got out of class (this was nerd camp where we're in class for 7 hours every day), I walked into our dorm room and he was just standing there staring at me. We locked eyes. I thought it was just weird he was just staring at me all still so I went "What????" That's when I broke eye contact and looked down, and broseph straight up had his **** completely out, and ... it was happy to see me. KFC. I left the room extremely confused, since if you're changing your clothes normally you wouldn't be right by the doorway, so I left to give him some privacy. To this day I have terrible gaydar, but this is one of those memories that's burned into your skull and makes you wonder.
The end. Thanks for coming to my #tedtalk.
.
I dont quite know that there is an accurate emoji I can use for this one.

We'll make it with love 🙄. I hate when orders say that. One of the cooks told me they used to get orders on tickets saying go kill yourself and stuff so I guess those messages aren't that bad, but they're still annoying. It's not cute. They'll spit in your food!

Ok, I'd have the manager on duty (whoever's highest up) have a face to face talk with the customer. Bullying/suicide crap is unacceptable. We'll make it with love 🙄. I hate when orders say that. You can put special messages like can I get extra (x) or peanut allergy etc.WHAT??!!? How does one even put that on an "order ticket???"
I work at a restaurant that *redacted* (cause I'm scared of internet spiders)Ok, I'd have the manager on duty (whoever's highest up) have a face to face talk with the customer.
Btw do you work at Wing Stop? Or in the past at least? I've never eaten there.
Ima come visit you and say howdy. 😛I work at a restaurant that has a [redacted] attached.
God No!Ima come visit you and say howdy. 😛
This sweater sounds amazing 😍I have a Bob Ross christmas sweater that lights up and its the bomb. I could let you borrow it sometime.
I was joking. But I also wouldn't want people popping in at my work especially not internetI know you were joking, but can you explain why? PM if it's personal.
Assuming you know me well and my deep penchant for privacy and anti-stalking, you know I would never, ever advocate dropping in randomly on complete strangers. I'm going through a lot right now, so I presume that affects how I read people, at least subconsciously.I was joking. I don't think you're a stalker or anything I just don't like my life to mix. I like when my work life is separate from everthing else. It's super awkward for me when I work the same place as family members or people who know me.Assuming you know me well and my deep penchant for privacy and anti-stalking, you know I would never, ever advocate dropping in randomly on complete strangers. Sameits ok. I spend way more time in prevet forums than on med side these days![]()
That's smart actually and definitely a best practice. It's called "security by compartmentalization" or "security by isolation," and it's something I started doing some years back. Just realized you joined in 2017 so there's a ton of SDN hx you missed out on that I can't go into detail because it's pre-vet.Only it's different parts of my life.
Even if you trust most random Pre-Vet regulars as well as lurkers, since most of the SDN forums don't require an account, pretty soon Google's spiders and other spiders (like the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine) will read your post and forever save it, making your work history attached to "Ms Procrastinator" on SDN, making it exponentially easier to narrow down who you are and where you work[ed]. I redacted your post in case you want to later take it out before it gets cast in Internet cement. 🙂I work at a restaurant that....

(I've had old SDN posts show up on Page 1 of Google and even copied to other medical websites (wtf?) and was pretty shocked.)

Try aloe vera. I heard that works. From what I've heard from dermatologist, you might also want to try a different brand of sunscreen, a higher spf, or actually using one. Also try using an umbrella, long sweaters and puffy hats. Better yet don't go outside. The sun is trying to kill us all!!!!!Eh...its not that bad today. I have pretty decent complexion and tan well, good melanin genes maybe!

Bad derm joke.
You know which doctors don't have this problem? Dermatologists.
They're pretty low maintenance as plants and cheaper that way. Plus it's cool to break off a leaf and instant gel.I don't typically bother much with aloe anymore. Waste of $
