Welcome to California COL, baby!!!! *Sobs*O O F
My very nice 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment in Illinois with an attached garage, in a very nice area, was less than that 😭 I got off the waitlist so a lot of the less expensive but still decent stuff had already been scooped by the time I was looking and then I just stayed there all 4 years because I didn’t want to move (I hate moving)

Hi! I think I’m SDN’s token equine vet rn, so I guess I’ll chime in. I promise the goal is to be on time lol. Emergencies are the biggest thing that throws a wrench in the schedule. Closely followed by traffic lol. Otherwise, if your vets in a smaller practice or doesn’t have a tech it makes life way harder. Adequate support staff is the secret sauce! The techs at my practice manage all the scheduling and most of the driving so they make realistic plans for each day and try and schedule in one area each day to get as much as possible done. Also just having that extra set of hands for set up and break down of equipment (on top of everything else) really does streamline things, it all adds up by the end of the day!
