got ripped a new one today in surgery...good times.

how important is the surgery grade again?
 
where in miami...used to live there...out in Kendall

eh...I threw surgery out of my head before getting into med school. Can't stand still that long, let alone concentrate on one thing for that long.

as long as u got a B or better, i wouldnt sweat it...its an unspoken truth that most surgeons dont like EM and I think the feeling is mutual...we gotta ask McNinja if that is really the case...but seriously im sure it couldnt have been that bad

not only that, but the lifestyle...i've aged about 10 years from starting this rotation.
 
Was at school from 8am to 7pm pretty much 2 days in a row now. Getting old, and I am falling behind in studying.

what do you mean? they are ok. some are better than others. Lots of change here. getting a new trauma chief, they just got a new chair, also will be hiring a bunch of new surgeons.
 
going to have to go at 7:30 my time...gives me 15 minutes of +pad+

wonna compare...at the hospital at 5:30 YESTERDAY morning...just getting home TODAY
 
I know you are supposed to study...but you probably don't have an exam on monday and a quiz on tuesday... and not in neuro...

oh no, it was bad!

I got maybe 5/25 anatomy questions right and he could tell...in my defense, it was hand anatomy and they were tough questions.

i have a quiz every day in the OR, talk about painful
 
but still, very happy to be done with 2nd year (and boards!)
 
im so glad i am done with med school...even though 4th year was a blast, i saved surgery for the last rotation and it SUCKED A*S

so ectopic, what's the verdict..."pass" in surgery OK?
 
I still stink from anatomy lab too. was in there for 5 hours.
 
on the bright side, on trauma call, I had a class 2 trauma come in and loved it! I got to sew up the leg in the ED...it felt like home, I wanted to stay
 
how are the rest of your grades...if its an outlier, u should be fine...u could always come up with an excuse for it...like your attending was a pr*ck or some other BS
