Well it seems like most people get an email from one of their interviewers about an acceptance. Do you respond to that email? If so, with what? Thanks.

My interviewer made some comments about my sports activities and research opportunities at Pitt, so I responded back thanking her for the interview and letting me know about "___________". I also mentioned that I'd have to check this or that out during second look.

My interviewer also recommened a book while I was speaking with her, and since I had almost finished it by the time she emailed, I thanked her for the recommendation and mentioned how I really liked it (it was a really good book... check out "Animals in Translation" if you've got the time).
