Hello,

A while ago, someone posted a list of U.S.medical schools that don't have pre requisites. I haven't been able to find it. Any chance someone has it?

Please and thank you.

Don’t think this is a thing

even a school that says they don't have pre-reqs will have competencies, which are usually fulfilled by, you guessed it, coursework. pre-reqs, official or not, are a part of the premed journey.

Just some that I have seen: Wake Forest, ETSU, USC, Stanford, Vanderbilt, UCSD.

However they almost always have something worded like what Vandy has:

"Vanderbilt University School of Medicine recognizes that the undergraduate academic experience of applicants varies greatly. Therefore, we have made the decision to move away from "requirements" to "recommendations." The expansive and ever-changing landscape of medicine and its practice necessitates that an applicant have demonstrated competencies in the natural and life sciences, social sciences, and mathematics. These competencies can be met through traditional and/or newly-established interdisciplinary courses of study in an accredited institution of higher learning."

TLDR- they don't have requirements but you have to show proficiency; like others have said basically means taking most of the standard prereqs
