I am curious as of how many others out there are facing this vicious cycle? You know misery loves company. I don't mean to be a crybaby but this is my second time applying.😡

I feel your pain. It's my second time too, but i guess we'll see how it goes.

i'm in the same boat. 2nd time interviewing w/ mercer. 3rd time applying to UGA (but i consider it my 2nd, since my 1st year i just did it for the hell of it)

I actually wanted to get in since last year but last year but PCAT score was not on file. Therefore, the application was not incomplete.....

This is the first time I actually complete the application... but second "attempt"...

This is also my 2nd time applying. The first time I applied, I got rejected from all but one school... which placed me on the waitlist. This time around, I've been offered 2 interviews so far, and have been accepted to one program. Don't be discouraged and don't give up. Try a 3rd time if you need... if this is what you wanna do.

I'm in there with the rest of you. My first time I got denied from the 4 schools I applied to. . . OUCH. But this time I've been granted 3 interviews so far (1 put me on the waitlist, still waiting to hear on the other 2) and 3 denials (from different schools) and still waiting on a few for a response. Good luck to all. Let's all keep at it 'til we make it, k?

i got an interview at UT of Austin last year...the dean of admissions said i was a great candidate, but they weren't able to see in my essay why i wanted to switch. I guess i didn't make it very clear, although i'm pretty sure I talked about it during the interview. my interviewer was actually shocked when he heard i didn't get in, we were going to do this project together. anyway, i never did thank you for your response when i PM'd you RNtopharmd. Thanks for the suggestions. 🙂

it is my 2nd time applying too. my advice is to apply early! i finished my application to my top choice in the beginning of June 2007 and got in! last year i applied to 17 schools, interviewed with 2, rejected from one of them and was waitlisted in the other one but never pulled. this year i applied to 3 schools, got a deferral/hold from UOP and got into LLU and touro! im going to my top choice LLU of course, and my best wishes to you in your applications! preserverence rocks! 👍 👍

third year applying here. first year, i got rejected without any interviews. second year, i got rejected by all and 1 waitlisted me. this year, i got 6 interview offers, but 4 waitlisted me and i will be attending the other 2 interviews in a couple of weeks. i just wanna get accepted to at least one school. being waitlisted is just as depressing as getting rejected. 🙁

This year I only applied to USC/WU. Did an interview at SC and still waiting on WU. I believe the waiting is the hardest. I would rather just be rejected and cut loose instead of waiting until August/Sep. like I did last year. It just drags it out. Next year I may just buy a degree from Mexico/Virgin Islands or something.

my story too. 3rd time applying, but 1st year was jsut for the heck of it, i really had no shot.

Keep trying though, I finally got in this year.
and yes, apply early early early

if you're a average applicant (like myself) give yourself any advantage you can. Learn from your mistakes and improve each year you apply. Volunteer, shadow pharmacists, get more experience, retake classes, etc.

turning in your app the day it's due does you no good, nor does it help turning it in 3 weeks before the deadline. submit them no more than a month after apps go out. that means, ask for LOR's in april or may, schedule your pcat accordingly. visit the school if possible, they like that you took the initiative to visit the school.

start writing personal statements in march (they essays don't change much from year to year, trust me!)
revise at least 12 times for each essay.

misery loves company, so i've been there. good luck to you all. the struggle gives you humility and character

for the past two months, i've been toasting to 'the struggle'
