Bannie, this is an internet forum. Calling for a "fair trial" is heading well into the realm of hilarious over-involvement. Good as your intentions may be, you're accomplishing nothing more than providing a lot of bored pre-meds with some entertainment. As others have said, if you truly wish to stay here and create some kind of 'positive change,' take a step back and get some perspective.

All together now: the internet is not, in fact, srs bznz.

As I said, its not about the extent of the punishment.
Its about communication, its about discussion.
Its about changing the fact that I'm guilty before I can even explain myself.

Its about giving a :caution: before you can even say I didnt touch the player.
 
Bannie, what you got WAS a slap on the wrist... No one would have even known about it if you hadn't pulled this stunt.

I'm interested in how you're going to handle things like residency when you screw something up there.
 
honestly though bannie, why do you care? This is an internet forum. No lives are involved here.

It's not about any of those facts. There are terms of use. You agree to them by posting. You getting a PM from a mod IS a 'yellow card' since that's your new metaphor. YOU DIDN'T GET PROBATION. Chill. Out.

But that's what they do. And if they were wrong they would pick it up after they had thrown it. We've been telling you that the whole time, if you had communicated respectfully your point of view, maybe they would have agreed with you.

If I only cared only when lives are involved then I just dont care enough.

I want us to be able to discuss in peace, I want us to be able to speak our minds freely, and when misunderstandings occur, I want us to be able to discuss and resolve it without resorting to punishment immediately.

That is all.

Sammich. I am chill.
I am just asking, for understanding, discussion, dont jump to conclusions. transparency.

I also know its not a big deal to get a yellow card. But if we can improve the ways we do things, why not!?

If the mods can lead by example, why not?

I know very well that when I posted this I might be really punished. I have 2500 posts, I have been on this forum for so long, do you really think I just wanna leave like that?

It is supposed to be YOUR responsibility to censor yourself. Don't even wait for others to jump in and tell you when you're getting out of line. I'm not going to gang up on you like everyone else is, but just be more discerning next time and every day in general.

Its not about me.
Its about like I said, understanding, discussing, instead of resorting to cheap shots like this.

Nobody would have known it if I didnt talk about it.
But if nobody knows about it, then nobody will be aware of how much we jump to conclusions on the people around us, especially on SDN.

Well it's sort of hard to have a discussion when the first thing you did was call the mod ridiculous.

Also, you say that it's not about the extent of the punishment and then go on to make an arbitrary distinction between a punishment of "Hey don't do this" and a punishment of an infraction. In the end, they're both the same -- and I'm convinced that if you had just stated what was actually bothering you about it rather than just yelling and waxing poetic about something, you might have been heard

Yes I understand, calling him ridiculous was not the smartest move.
And that is something that I did wrong. However, I was punished for "you know what you did" which I felt was slightly arrogant, and also the other comment on how my posts were inappropriate.

No, I want transparency. That is all. And you cannot have it when two people talk behind the scenes. I dont just want "justice" for myself, but I want things to improve as a whole. And I feel this is the only way.

If I am wrong, I am, I hold my hands up and admit it. Like I did for calling the mod ridiculous. That was unwarranted for, but then if it is not, then I will stand my ground.
 
So basically you want to be banned publicly, instead of via PM?

I was in a way "punished".

And once again, its not about "me".

But then you will probably take it against me and say, oh you are just trying to make it sound good.

But think, if its just about me, then I would have been better off responding to Caesar directly.
Nobody would know, I would be safe, but that is not what I want.

Yes, I was slightly angry at that time.
That was my fault, if you are wrongly accused of something that you did not do, you would feel the same way too, no?

But right after the first post, you can see what I am trying to get at.

If you want transparency I can help you get some. My Cal professor uses it a lot to show the steps in solving the more difficult problems. I hate when he uses his spit to clear them off. Soooo disgusting.

I can't really make any comments about "other posts" since I have no idea what that's about -- another reason why you should talk to mods specifically about any issues you have. None of us on this thread know the entire story, whereas a discussion with the mods means you're talking to someone who knows the history of what's going on.

Anyway, what exactly do you mean by transparency? You talk a lot about "justice" and "improvement" but seriously, what SPECIFICALLY do you want to be done here? How exactly was Caesar supposed to respond when you made that post calling him ridiculous? By responding to you, he showed he was willing to talk things out -- I don't really get what extra "justice" you get that wasn't available by just talking it through with a mod.

I think we can all agree that the youtube comment was offensive. Regardless of whether or not it was your original words, they became your words when you posted it on this forum. He followed protocol and gave you a warning.

OMG, that's actually what I always think of when I hear transparency. I had this one professor who used them but he wouldn't wipe them off because he had a whole stack with notes already on them. He used these year after year. He was pretty old-school.
