I read it yesterday. I'm not sure what you mean about "in the case of an emergency." These issues don't usually come into play for emergencies. It usually an elective thing like abortions and contraception. Even among the docs out there that wouldn't do an abortion electively on moral grounds most would intervene if the pateint's life was at risk.
