I'm hoping I'll hear by the end of this month. I mean, commmmmeeee oooonnnn. I've been waiting since the 1st of February.

No, I have it too. I'm pretty sure everyone has it. I think they just put it there as, well, a reminder so that you don't go off topic. We've gone off topic many times in this post, but somehow it does pertain to the discussion at hand; that is, talking about Rosalind Franklin and their Adcom meetings.
 
Also, does the original poster have the right to move the posts if it doesn't pertain to the topic? And, who was the original poster? Did they get in?
 
The original poster was PBDoc. He got into Wayne State and CMS. He has a forum asking people what school he should choose. As much as we'd like to have him as a classmate, I think the answer is obvious. Let's all weigh in here:

Hopefully he'll realize that Wayne State is just as awesome and that we need as much help as we can get.

Hi everyone. How are all of you doing? I feel like crap lol. Just came back home from a long night of hanging out with some friends..

Anyways, I stopped by RFU and couldn't get any info except that next meeting will be sometime near the end of May with no scheduled date as of yet.

just the think i was afraid of.....i guess we have to wait a little longer till we hear something.
 
Here is what I got today from Ms. Lashely:

The committee will be meeting monthly and sending out letters throughout the admissions process to maintain a full class. Acceptances will be sent out until matriculation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I don't think I can go through another MCAT mentally. I am drained completely from this process, I just want to start somewhere and do something with my life 😳

Hopefully by this time next year, you and I will be sitting in the Cafeteria talking about a brutal Neuroscience final and saying, "hey, lets go see what's going on on SDN."

hey, I always wondered about the cafeteria. Do we get like a meal plan, or do we pay cash everytime?

You pay everytime, but you can put money on your ID card which also acts your entrance key to the building. The food is half-way decent there.

I was there the entire day yesterday. I was getting so depressed, I just wish we could have a home 🙁

i called yesterday and left a message on the voice mail...they emailed me today and no action has been taken on my file.....i guess we just have to wait...since the meeting is not until towards end of may, it would be a good idea to call last week of may or first week of may.

I interviewed sometime in Jan, can't remember the exact date now.

I have had the worst day today so far, nothing is going right all 🙁

(FYI, it is nothing RFUMS related)
 
Chin up guys. It's easy to get depressed, but there is much time left! Now comes the chain of waitlist acceptances... which takes a lot of time. One of my friends who is an M1 (not at RFU, though) got accepted 4 days before the semester started.

I'm in that boat too! I go home and try to study but it's sooooo hard. I keep thinking, "I can't believe I'm starting this process over!". I mean, I can believe it....but I can't believe it. Ya know? 😀

I'm in the same situation. Plus, I don't have the class to push me nor do I have any practice tests anymore. I don't want to do it another time, but I realize it's the only way I can get in. It sucks!
 
this is depressing.....waiting for the mail/email/phone-call to come, which never really comes with good news....so the next day you anticipate it coming and when the day is over you realize another day has gone with nothing and the process continues.
it seems like everyone is moving on around you and you are just stuck in that same position as you were last year.
 
I also interviewed 4/24 and havent heard of anything. Will keep you guys posted though. Has anybody on here heard back that interviewed on this same day?

Dude, I hear you. I'm really tired of telling everyone my situation and that I'm stuck waiting.
 
Hey guys

I got back from my month long venture yesterday. It was nice to be gone for a month and think about med school as minimally as possible. Buttt i just found out that someone i know just got in the same time as Curious did; which really makes you second guess yourself, your application, and why didnt you get in?
so in essence, it blows. bad. but at least the 15th has passed by so the adcom has no choice now but to meet sometime soon and send out some letters.
ive never called them or sent a loi or anything, so i guess i'll probably do that soon, just to know that i've done something to help me. i just dont want to be dragged along all summer.

i'm sure i'll be back on in like a few hours.
 
on a side note while i was gone i received a letter from loyola saying sorry buddy and one from nymc saying my application was never complete... right.

I agree. You give them all that money and then they're like, "Oh, by the way, you're application isn't complete, but we're now done interviewing. Best of luck! 🙂 "...........A-holes.
 
hey guys i just got accepted to the BMS program so, unless IU accepts me for the MD or RFUMS does. Looks like i will be at the BMS in Rosalind in the fall.
 
I just sent in my deposit this morning. GL you guys. And grats on BMS acceptance Jccripe.

i hope i get into the BMS program or else i have no future...

Yeah, Samosas, I didn't hear from the BMS like everyone was hearing in their emails today.....did you hear anything??
